good joke! the problem is that there are many influential people saying such things seriously.
Next step will be forced 'population control'...
http://www.chinadaily.com.cn/china/2009 ... 151129.htm

China is run by about 80 very wealthy people. There is a lot of poverty in China (as well as child labor and other labor issues).
Seems logical for the elitists, but it won't make any difference. It's a sham.

you know the U.N. seemed like a good idea when I was growing up . You cant really argue with the principal, can you , that there is a forum for countries representatives to get together to discuss problems . Principals are wonderful things...... the only trouble is when you put human beings into the process and thats when you suddenly discover that the whole frigging thing is a shambolic mess , correction.... an EXPENSIVE shambolic mess . You get the situation where some member of the elite blood sucking section of society in a remote central african shithole can get together with some barely educated maniac from somewhere like upyakhyberstan and start criticising the civilisation that made their little junket possible and suddenly every disaffected revolutionary youf gets a ready made soapbox to lecture his betters on what they did wrong in providing him or her with food , health , schooling and opportunity for all their lives . And dont get me started on BANKS

I actually have to thank these elitists for their noble cause to save mankind, and for the Oil for Food program and so many other things, but I really want to thank Al Gore for making me rich at Christmas this year.
I never thought the idea would take off, bit ever since Al's buddy's got busted, my Al Gore Pinatas are back ordered. I can't believe there are that many young Mexican kids having Birthdays...

do you mail order Jav .I cant think of a better way to start/enjoy /end a party . An inconvenient smack in the head  You know there is a peculiar discussion in the media down here . It's quite weird ,they've got to the point where the religious nature of the man caused warmers has been noted ,and the more outrageous predictions are causing raised eyebrows and they've seen the p.r. releases pre and at the gabfest in the home of fairy tales and they're not quite sure that sort of shit is kosher. BUT there's so much momentum thats been built up over the years that the gorilla in the room kind of can /cant be mentioned but whatever you do no one must laugh at it .
It's like political correctness is writhing in its cocoon and hoping to come out a butterfly again but everyones scared to look at it just in case it makes everybody look like a prat .
I can see that some programmes the U.N. does are praiseworthy but when the shit hits the fan big time it's hamstrung by the same old global rivalries and so the unfortunate sods who find themselves in a war zone wouldn't really want to be holding their breath until the U.N actually does something useful and decisive re the people . The fact of the matter is that in a crisis of the sort it was meant to prevent it's simply useless . Too little ..too late ...ineffectual and thats why sovereign states like the U.S. and any others with the will end up carrying the can rightly or wrongly . it just gets to the point that someones gotta do something about things like bosnia or kuwait even if it was their own stupid bloody policies that made sense at a certain point in time that caused it . I.E. arming osama bin laden against Ivan the bear and then letting some twerp decide that it was o.k. to diss him once the russkies got out of there . I cant see any answer to that sort of thing myself but I'm pretty sure that if an answer comes it's not going to have united nations in it's name . It doesn't do much that any standing army cant do,medecin sans frontiers cant do, international education aid cant do . It's just a friggin waste of time and a layer of beaurocracy we can do without . Also the oil for food program became totally corrupt and I know because god bless our little cotton socks us good old aussies helped to corrupt it with our grain sales kickbacks to old saddy and trust me by the time we get onto something everyone else has been doing it for years

Slightly OT here, but does anyone know who the georgeous tall blonde woman at the acceptance speech ( front row ) in Oslo was. I know the Ptesident spotted that a mile away.
What a classy Lass she was.
She was up there w/ Jackie O.
If she was the Queen, Norway should be proud...

Well I respect and love beauty.
So you can translate that into whatever agenda you like.
Political correctness now for babe watching...........what a sad state of affairs.
Should I have asked who the intelligent, forward thinking, lady with the Tan coat was...?
Then she would probably wonder why I didn't notice what a beautiful women she was.
How would you in all of your political correctness asked the question.?

yes, they're all so nice, just trying to help everyone!

actually, i'm sure she IS perfectly nice, one human being to another.

gotta love that Nobel(noble?) committee, finding a guy who's all about peace, who can peaceably send 36.000 troops into a war zone to add to the peace to give a big ole peace prize to...all the nice people stand around and smile, knowing that it's good for the common folk to die over things that they don't really understand...

then, of course, there's soylent green(great way to get rid of evidence for ever):

I wonder how a failed rocket launch left behind a purple/green light flash.

why does this talk bother you, stardust? does it injure your interests?

you know that the Soviets were sponsored by the west and that the EU is the ultimate soviet system so far, right?

as to missle failure-yeah, those Norse swirls sure look like HAARP or something similar. strange...http://www.cnn.com/2009/WORLD/europe/12 ... index.html

it goes without saying that your betters do all that they do for your benefit, but i say it anyway.

well, i can tell that these guys never scam or lie just from seeing just how much love and justice is cultivated in the very world we live in. the departments of helping people out are much bigger and well funded than the departments of dirty tricks, i mean, DUUh!! it'd take a pretty messed up guy to actually think that there were backroom deals made or that anyone would actully work against the interest of the general public! when these guys say that the oceans are rising, you can believe it, even if their own measurements don't show it!
