I must have misunderstood you. It seemed early on you were saying don't use RAID.

I said I don't think you NEED Raid, and that there's other ways to accomplish what you're after. Then I gave you a ton of blather about the ups & downs of RAID in general, meandering as our focus meandered. You, however, have been fairly focused on doing RAID 0. So get to it

Raid is not that great for anything except sitting in a raid box being redundant.
it wont get you much better performance in the real world.

someone with raid balah blah blah i7 joins as player 7..im player 0

set up your machine well and you dont have to worry about that stuff.
