They would never allow anyone to write anything on their site because they don't want to hear. The only time they come here is to pitch some new product and poof they are gone.

Wrong answer. Game over... no bonus points awarded. You did not score enough points to get on the High Score board. Please click the 'I'm not the sharpest tool in the box' button to Play Again.

I'm sorry, I could not read that last post because I have a special filter which prevents me from reading anything which comes from a complete idiot.

I think this is unfair. Both CW and now SC list this site as the official site for Scope users, they once had one, where they never banned anyone, but PZ was so good that they closed theirs. So their official forum is one that is not controlled by them, where you can freely talk and eventually rave even about UseAudio without the topic being closed. Try to rave about Logic in Cubase or Nuendo forums.
A second think which has to be said is that CW and SC never got a penny for a bug fix. Never. In fact you can install 4.0 and 4.5 for free being just a 3.1 user, you only don't get the bonus devices. The Cubase4 Asio fix has not been tied to the next 5.0 release but is free for anyone.
On the other hand, being a user of Cubase since the 3.65 pc old version, I can testify that Steinberg has never completed the bug fix for any product as it should be for correctness. You had some issues solved,
even if advertised in the former version, only in the following payed upgrade. For example I have SX3 which still has some bugs (video managing and audio stretching related) which will never be fixed. That behavior pissed me off so much that i won't give Steinberg any more money from now on. If you claim to sell a professional product you have to to keep ironing all the bugs for it, you should ask money only for new features. I can understand you are not able to fix a bug, but fixing it only in the payed upgrade stinks.
On this field both CW and SC and, as it seems, UseAudio, seem to be on an other planet, frankly.
On the fact of listening to the users, sorry but just looking at the interest for Xite around here and the commercial success of the Plugiator (I see it in every shop in Rome) I think that these companies have good ears. Your needs are absolutely legitimate, but different from the majority here which seems satisfied of the new product lines. Personally I think that Xite-1 is the ideal form Scope should have, at least for the non-hobbist.

If you are seeing the Plugiator sold a lot, it is because it sounds great and doesn't cost too much. That is what people want. It's very simple.
I recently spoke without an editor of a magazine which reviews gear. He had a technical issue with an ASB Minimax. He could get no support for it! If a person who was sent gear for review could not even get support, what kind of support do you think customers get? A long time ago I had an issue with the S/PDIF not working at all. I contacted Creamware by phone and was just told that he never heard of this. A search of the forum revealed other people also had this problem. SC does not fix all bugs. That is a lie. Check out the modular. If you change a patch, it will not load! You can't use the latest shell. That is absurd. They know about this and refuse to fix it.

I never had any issue with the modular as long as if I change a patch I re-new the preset file and save with a new name. That is not a bug, it's exactly as it should work, if you know how is the parametrization in the presets done. There are some bugs in any software, but the point was that CW and SC never got a penny for those they have fixed. We are not talking about technical perfection, that doesn't exist, some bugs might also be very difficult to fix, but if bug fixes are free of not. That makes an important difference for me. My current SX3 (latest and definitive version) has much more issues than Scope. Some of them are solved if I buy some features i don't need. Bug fixes have always been free of charge for Scope. This is the reason why I feel that your harshness is a bit unfair. Perfection is not of this world, but the sharks are not in Siegburg, only sharcs....

This isn't how all the other modules work. They don't cause me to not be able to open my project. This is bad engineering. Other people have complained about it. I lost a project I spent 3 hours working on. You are wrong that this is the way it should work. Admit you are wrong.
One of the most basic and fundamental things software should do is load the last saved file without crashing. That is not user error if it does. Come on, anybody could see that. Don't forgive them for this miserable mistake.
Cubase saves all changes as a part of the project. When I close the SFP, it tells me I made changes, do I want to save them? That is annoying. Another click another click stop the madness. Do it the way Cubase does.

I love, love, love Samplitude, and don't give a shite about dongles, since my lone dongle is networked anyways.
IMO Ripper is a ripper-offer, since they are still copying most of the other hosts on the market.
So there....blah...

CONFESSSS !
btw if M$ would send me that well-deserved paycheck for all the wasted hours and work I've lost due to their shabby OS-or-whatever-it's-called software, I'd be a wealthy guy
cheers, Tom

.
I use almost only modulars and it never happened to me to be not able to reload a project. Obviously, knowing how the preset thing works
if I change a loaded patch I remove the not perfectly referenced preset list and save the device under a new name.
Sorry Braincell, but Scope is still one of the less buggy musical softwares around and one of the most stable, at least for me.

Reaper has a 64-bit audio engine. There is no Vista 64-bit native version as many people think. There is an X64 (XP 64-bit) beta version. I just wanted to clear this up.
The only Sequencer for Vista 64-bit is Sonar or Cubase 4.5 Preview as far as I know.
People say 32 bit sequencers work fine in Vista 64-bit but you will not be able to see the memory if you have over 4 gigs of RAM.

There is definite probability that the Magix-ians are working on 64-bit version of Samplitude/Sequoia as well.
Probably true at this point that nothing is truly 64-bit until the OS and memory allotments are setup for this.
I presume 64-bit is still a bit of marketing fodder at this point

This has changed lately.. There's an extension to the "stock" MCU plugin which adds tons of useful stuff, and I'm trying to add at the moment plugin and send / receive management capabilities.

I'm going to try it because of the Vienna Symphonic Library supports it:
http://vsl.co.at/en/65/71/84/1050.vsl
I presume that I will get Cubase 4.5 Vista 64-bit preview to work alright, (fingers crossed). I will report back here.
Sadly there are no 64-bit drivers for Scope cards and I am guessing there never will be except maybe for future cards. I am going to try and use the built in S/PDIF on my motherboard with ASIO4ALL (works with 64-bit). I may go with the M-Audio Delta Audiophile 192 at some point. They have Beta Vista 64-bit drivers. I must say I am disappointed with Sonicore for launching the Xite rather than making the drivers which I need. I would be willing to pay for drivers. The next SFP should include this but I'm thinking it is not likely. I'll try to hold off on the M-Audio card if I can.
Great video Greg
