Some of you, I hope you will understand...2 parents in one weekend...I flew from Milwaukee, to Harrisburg Thursday night. I saw Mom this morning & I know now, it won't be long. I drive to State College tomorrow...just to say goodbye to my Father. I fly out of Harrisburg Sunday night...I have one more meeting with each of them for the last time on Saturday...as they are both now terminal.
I'll check in with you fellas tomorrow night...
I got my best friend from Allentown (I've known him for 30 years +) driving to Harrisburg tomorrow night when I get back from State College, after meeting with my Father...we're just gonna do what you would expect...catch up & drink heavily...this has been a very difficult trip. Honestly one of the hardest, yet, most rewarding things I have ever done (when concerned with my family). I initially did not want to make it...but now that I'm here...I am so glad I did.
I just don't want to carry that baggage for the next 30 years...that just sounds so fucking selfish right now...
Sorry for driving this thread OT...hug your parents & tell them you love them.....

netguyjoel...sorry to hear your news....life sucks sometimes. I understand I kissed my mothers cheek for the last time when I was only 13 the sweetest kiss I will never forget it. Later that night I had a dream that my mother was saying goodbye Then my Dad woke me up to tell me the bad news that I would need to be strong and that mom may not make it.

my wife's been through a similiar situation, really though
strangely after all it made her accept life even more, I hope the same for you
