"Heaven is there where hell is and heaven is not on earth!"
Re: what are you listenennig to at the moment?
in the mid90s it was quite usual in Germany to raise the pitch and picking up the pace

"Heaven is there where hell is and heaven is not on earth!"

backing tracks...i remember a Saturday Night Live episode with James Taylor using a similar rig for backing vocals and strings on a song, trigger by foot. the Teac machine got a closeup everytime it started. you young whippersnappers just don't know how good ya got it....rolo wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7Ka-WpqCAJI

James Taylor was my inspiration to use VDAT which is similarily a hassle.
But making several 8/16 track tunes and saving them, then later making medleys and even an entire set of music w/ one VDAT is kind of cool.
I just wish we could get MIDI on the transports. I could use the KS88 transport section or pedals via the F8.
I really should just make a cut out of myself and have Cubase do the sets while I gamble, drink and bang waittail cocktresses.....

The VDAT like all Scope modules was orphaned. No Focus!!!
Re: what are you listenennig to at the moment?
I'm more into No Focus' earlier work, but each to their own.Granted "The VDAT like all Scope modules was orphaned" is a heartfelt and moving ballad, though.
Meanwhile I'm listening to "Rock of Ages" by The Band, and Texan guitarist Hamilton Loomis, who I'm playing bass with next week.

actually that's not true at all, but you'll have to wait to find out if i'm telling the truth.braincell wrote:The VDAT like all Scope modules was orphaned. No Focus!!!
ok, i'll play. i'm listening to people passing on the street, the sound of the computer and the tap of the keys, the fridge, cambodian love songs and some banda along with the occasional sould classic as it passes by. oh, and the loudmothed fights between "lovers" in the crappy apartments across the alley...a little while ago, it was the Bleach sound track. some really cool guitars and synth ambiences...

Alicia Keys and Jay Z. at the World Series.
Damn that girl is so fine. Saw her 2 years ago at the MGM Garden Arena and was enjoying every single note. She is not the best Pianist or the best singer, but nobody grooves w/ both as much as she does. Like most Black Americans she sang in Church as a kid, and like so many artists never forgot her neighborhood where she still just stops by and sings. With several large Bodyguards too, but what a talented beautiful Lass.
Too bad the Phillies are going to smoke the Yankees...........
