I can't imagine them moving a thousand units...not unless they have a completely new marketing strategy. Creamware was one of the best kept secrets in the North American audio world. I don't know how they did in Europe, but they are almost completely unknown on this side of the puddle...maybe that will be to SonicCore's advantage, maybe not.

Yep Stardust,

I confirm regarding France as well but it went bad when the main import company stopped to represent Creamware.
Happily, there is PlanetZ's french users, still active.
In a way thanks also to DAS, as they are involved into third party movement.
Also, France might be a special case due to the fact that it's hosting Audiofanzine and this site has often been a relay to the coming out of SFP devices and Creamware (bad) infos, as well as a second-hand devices market place.

If no 1k units, then 100 units, or 50 units. At 3000 euro piece I think that there is enough margin to get money even with low number of units.

Creamware was almost unknown in UK except by the very few folks who take a real interest in these things. Most professional studios have never heard of the company and couldn't care less, they all use Protools. I reckon SonicCore will be a completely different kettle of fish than Creamware with regards to marketing. There's absolutlely no point in marketing a product that hasn't even been released yet. SonicCore and JB's obvious determination to get this thing, and Solaris, totally spot on will be focused on marketing when they got something to sell.

Xite's main selling strength will be it's ability to deploy the vast battalions of SonicCore and JB's synths into the fray. There's will be nothing like it on the market. There are many other extremely capable external boxes using DSP's for just audio processing as options. I've been using the odd VSTi in the host as a quick way to get tracks into shape before turning on the Scope stuff. Very odd, Mein Gott!! I soon gave that up as a bad job. I think Xite will sell in cartloads just for the sound of the synths.

I could be wrong, it's been known. :D

As always, I'm not the first and I'm also not risking anything to say that with equal sound quality as the current HW (at the beginning at first) and with that amount of power, it's condemned to please a lot of people with its possibilities.

On another hand It's right to say marketing can/must not interfere too much in now but shall undoubtedly be more efficient when it will be named/nominated each time a new device for that platform will come out.

This might be a long ranger!

No, this is the Long Ranger.

The Long Ranger informs his sidekick, Pronto, he is to head SonicCore's new marketing strategy team. Notice the expression of intense joy on Pronto's face.

Yepp....and they'll knock 'em dead....
If they'd just put that 5.1 Reverb that DAS has on thier site so I could buy it....
DAS's website shows a killer new reverb. It looks very useful, a dual stereo, single mono, or 5.1, and if its close to the RMX160 it should be a nice unit......SC must be too busy with the new Adern stuff to add it yet......

I think Sonic Core is going to need a lot of support for the platform in the way of slick looking/sounding software and a rather massive advertising budget to make much of a wave. Most of the software no matter how great it sounds looks VERY dated. People that are younger than me will look at this stuff and question how good it is due to this. Even the sexiest synths in the Scope platform up against things like Massive from NI and the funky skin for Ohm Forces Melohman and it looks utilitarian. This not intended to offend the designers because that is most likely not the main focus of there products, it was also made a long time ago. This is what I'm thinking. I could be totally wrong. I got sick of waiting and put my cash in to other products. When updates get to be over a year late I tend to get a little annoyed. But hey in the end it is good that SC exists and is keeping the platform alive. I just don't like being misled. I can't imagine that SC actually thought they would hit the initial deadline. If they did than I am even more worried.

Well, tell me if I'm wrong here, but Sonic Core had an XITE-1 product that they originally took to Messe, then after lots of interest & LOTS of suggestions on how to improve the product, they wisely decided to listen to suggestions & have implemented most of what was suggested here on PlanetZ. That's at least partly the reason for such a delay. For all those waiting for Scope 5 for the current PCI cards, it's no secret that it's planned to be released at the same time as XITE-1. It's written in plain German & English on the SC website.
