wow, that was yours ? :o ;)
I remember the stuff from a wine tasting session once and I ordered a bottle or two because it was really good.
And I was irritated about the origin at first glance...

cheers, Tom
amazing indeed ... :D

astroman,

Hey, I WISH those were "mine."

I recently learned that our region is naturally immune to the viruses/fungi that have wiped out so many grape-producing regions, due to the soil composition. Combine that with a nearly perfect climate for grape maturation (in that part of our state anyway, we have a broad range of climate and geography here), and we are gaining a big reputation as one of the best producers world-wide (as in top 5). It is spreading to the wines that we produce as well, although that is a longer process that involves generations of experience to gain.

Not that I'm proud or anything. ~8^)

Slainte,
Cory

hehe, this reminds me of when I just joined planetz. great vibes!

as for me, I'm enjoying some pinot grigio from Palatinate (germany) region. I'm very much a heavy bordeaux person (don't mind tannin) but man... a cold, light white on a summer evening is awesome.

A French white burgundy or bordeaux, with some fresh shellfish (lobster, crab etc)..just can't be beat!

and oysters "Just can't be beat", but maybe by some doe meat or Calf kidney with truffle sauce and an excellent Pessac-Leognan Bordeaux.

I'm close to veggie here, although it isn't by conscious choice (or 'save the animals' etc) so much as just what makes me feel the best these days. I seem to only be able to tolerate meat raw anymore (sushi, which I only enjoy at the coast fresh off the boat) even though a decade ago I was full on high protein workout boy biking twice a day and eating my fill of chicken, fish, bbq beef & fajitas. During the warmth this summer I seem to be mostly wanting to eat vegan, just raw nuts and fresh veggies. I sadly made a HUGE pot of pesto pasta the other night (lots of fresh veggies & kamut/quinoa based noodles etc) because my wife loves pasta/carbs, and am having the hardest time wanting to eat it myself (which is necessary to make sure it's eaten before it's spoiled.)

I think my favorite curt of meat would probably have to be veal cutlets...thin, lean, cook in practically seconds...add any one of a miraid of sauces...mmmmmm

I am a foul Bastard when it comes to my favorite.
There's nothing tastier than grilled Salsiccia ( sal-zeet-sa ) or Louisianna Andouille.
I realize this is the charred flesh of a Pig but I don't give a damn.
I enjoy life and food is especially crucial for a festive frame of mind.
To eat like this one only needs to excercise so the foul by products can be passed through the system quickly.
Eventaully I wiil become a FAT BASTARD but until then I shall be the fierce warrior of keyboards.
Besides all of my synths are FAT BASTARDS and the idea of a fit middle aged stage whore doesn't seem appropraite.
I look forward to being a Humpty Dumpty.....On Halloween I can go trick or treating and put a giant letter A on my belly so I can be AbdoMan...............Ankyu...

or just get a workout WHILE setting up the rig, and then get into more shape by actually PLAYING on the rig :)

I got into pretty good shape the past few months putting a theater show together - crawling under tables, running cables, moving gear, hiking up and down the incline theater aisle, etc. - all contributed to me losing about 10 lbs and firming up the flab.

Now, where were we in this thread? Oh yeah, kissin' everybody's ass :)
