I have an older Transient Designer with pictures of the envelopes. The new GUI looks spiffier, but having a graphic of the envelope seems to be more informative about how its shaping the signal ... or am I missing something...?

it's just a different visual feedback - after all the angle of the knob in either direction defines the intensity of processing.
I typically dial in a positions based on experience (out of about 5-8 different ones).
Only small adjustments required, if at all. For a new type of sound I tweak a bit more, but mostly one of the 'proven' settings is ok.
It's so quick that I wouldn't even mind presets

I prefer the original gui with the "led" meters and, mainly, input level control. This is not about look but function.
Maybe SPL/SonicCore could remove the limit on the number of devices you can load for the v3 TD. That's the main reason I bought the upgrade, unrestricted use.

That & include both keys when purchasing and I'd probably dig out my wallet (since I've slept on this one so far.)

Shame that this nice GUI is ruined by some missing stuff. Here's what i find odd (some mentioned by others previously):
1. Lack of accurate LED metering.
2. Link button. Had to read the UAD manual to figure this out. Off is mono in/stereo out - On is stereo in/stereo out. i was looking for a second lot of controls like the old TD.
3. No input gain control.
4. Power button: big power light stays on.
5. Mono version has a link button (disabled). Why have it on the GUI at all?

Somehow I guess that this is exactly how it should be. You buy it for the unlimited feature

With a new, feature-reduced gui? I don't get your point.

Sure it would (although only mine.) Truth be told there's many Scope plugins I'd still like to have but since I have native counterparts where it matters I don't have a NEED to buy the Scope versions. But with added incentives or specials my impulse purchasing habits can be prodded into gear...

Might get this just for better XTC functionality (probably).
