I really haven't done any great change in the circuit from first to others version. Maybe is the preset handling?! Who knows?

- the stereo button allows to load stereo plugins (keep in mind that not all 3d part plugs are available in mono version!) even if the usage is not true stereo but double mono.
All these problems with stereo/mono insert are gone out because Dynatube is not available as stereo device!!! :x
If I will build the circuit only in stereo, I can't load Dynatube.
If I will build the circuit only in mono, I can't load Stereo plugs.
The solution is a hybrid because the mentioned issue about stereo after stereo insert kills the first stereo signal! :-?
I just came home from work and I had this idea: make the whole circuit in stereo! .. Ok, now you are going to ask me but what about Dynatube that is available in mono only?... If you make the whole circuit in stereo, then there are two possibilities:
a) you can use Alfonso's Dual Insert and load two instances of Dynatube. One amp in the left, and another one in the right for true stereo sound OR
b) one has to make a device, in which you can insert a mono plug-in and the device routes the mono sound to both speakers instead of routing it only to the left speaker only, which is what happens if you load a mono plug-in in a stereo insert...

I am going to post details of that non-existent device in the device wish-list... I think this would be the best solution...

For shure, maybe this is the best solution ;)
SE-70 developement proceed slow because I can work on it only in between the job pauses and because is my third (and more complex: a lot of unknown issues, etc.) device... :P
So be patient.

Anyway I've played for an entire hour yesterday, with the last version of SE, and the sound rig was excellent! I care for leave always the backward preset bank compatibility between old and new version, so your preset work is not a waste of time ;)

Some quick tricks: Try the verby from MCCyrano as reverb unit!!! Wow! Also try to use Interpole instead Auto Wah Wah :o or (obviously) Vinco/Vinco DT instead the basic Scope Compressor. 8)

It rocks!

Thanks for the costant betatesting

See first post for the definitive version with all problems fixed.
I've redesigned & optimized the circuit, it was a logical control mistake (plus some real bugs of SDK...)

Enjoy :)

Molto bene! Bravissimo amico mio! :D

Now, its time for all of us to make some presets! :)

Sorry I've had no chance to test this before now, but just had my first play. What a great idea for a device - long overdue. Worked really well for me, nice few presets to get my juices going. I really like the idea that we can all share presets for this to show each other what ideas we have for using the existing effects in imaginative ways.
Thanks again, Ben

A suggestion; editable string-arrays?

Hi, Voidar :)
The device is build over the Bo-ss SE-70 effects array order, and the editable text field on the bottom is useful for memorize every possible variation.
And if you load something different in the slot, remains the name of the new device loaded as reminder. With preset you can save the new rig for the future.
So I don't think that new text fields are really necessary, rather, I think that this would create a confused and less intuitive interface...
Anyway I can assure that the SE-70 flow chart is very clever, complete and well tested, the guys from Rol-and/Bo-ss can't be wrong! ;)

Cheers.

Some presets I made. Mostly clean sounds.

You 'll need some 3d party plugins to load these presets. In each preset it is stated what you 'll need.

Since Alfonso's Dual Slot is not working at the time (left presets are not saved), I used MCCyrano's KOMBIknott, which has an issue too but it works (the issue is that the left and right channels are reversed).

Come on, post your presets too and let's all compile a preset list that can be stood next to Guitar Rig's and Amplitube's with pride! :)

edit: added some new presets

Thanks, I will try it tomorrow... in the Xmas holydays are very hard to switch on Scope: too much thing to do and too much people to meet! ;)

Thanks for these.
Unfortunately for me the presets with the S->M->S device loaed don't work. I have to disable or remove to get them to work. And I can't open the surface of the S->M->S device either to see what should be in there.

Anyone else have this. I have the latest version of the SMS device from PZ.

Hello Ben!

Does this happen with ALL the presets?

It seems that this device finds it a bit difficult sometimes to unload all the loaded modules and load new ones.. It happens to me too sometimes.. I think the problem appears when the same slot changes from mono to stereo and the opposite when changing presets.. If this is the case.. Then try this:
- Load a different module (like PEQ4 for example) in the slot with the module that refuses to load (in this case SMS Insert FX).
- Right-click the slot and choose Remove.
- Now reload the preset.
It should work. At least it does in my system

Hope this helps :)

P.S. Come on guys! Where are your presets!? :D

Here is my favourite preset at the moment. It's based on the vibe of Michael Schenker's "Armed And Ready". Note that the extension of the file has to be changed from "txt" to "pre" (I wasn't able to post it as .pre)

The core of the preset is in the amp slot, which actually contains a MultiFx M with dynatube -> low-cut -> peq -> gate. Then there is also some slight chorus->delay->reverb.

Hope it works for you.

Nice one gainman! Thank you! :)

All of you, come on! Keep more coming!

P.S. @gainman: There is no need to use the MultiFX into the Capo.. you already have 10 empty slots ;)

I've just reconstructed your preset, so it doesn't use the MultiFX... I am thinking as well to reconstruct my presets so that they don't use the SMS Insert FX, as since that now the Capo doesn't have the Mono/Stereo issue it had in the beginning, there is no use of the SMS with the Capo... However, it comes really handy when used in the slots of the CW Mixers..

P.S. You have to change extension from .txt to .pre, as the .pre extension is not allowed for upload..

The same presets plus 2 new ones. No SMS inserts in the old presets. Added gainman's preset too.

Keep the preset list growing!

Yes, you’re right. However, I personally prefer grouping some elements together. E.g. to consider amp+posteq as my amp sound, or to group overdrive+eq as a boost. I guess it’s a matter of taste… ;-)

Leaving that, I have found a couple of somewhat annoying things:

* Switching on/off one of the stereo slots produces a change that can be heard first in one of the stereo channels and then in the other, which is not nice for switching on/off effects on the fly.

* When loading a project that contains this device, the configuration of the device is not loaded correctly. That is, you load the project and e.g. dynatube settings are not correct. Then you have to load the preset in capo to get the right settings.

Have you experienced this?

Whatever works the best for you, mate! :)

- Yes, it happens here too.. I don't like it, but I can live with it.. Not too annoying for me..

- Yes, seconded!.. Well, that's a problem.. It is not a show-stopper, but this is annoying for me too ;)

Can you do anything about these issues erminardi? Or you're done with this device? :P (I have tired you enough already  )
