No your twisting things to your own benefit & to try to wind me up as usual Tom.

If you'd bothered to read my comments properly you'd have noticed me saying that this matter depends on several variants.

Don't respond & please don't address me. I've had it with you now completely.

Astroman...
This is the kicker.. I manually went through an resized all those images down to between 40-60k - but for some reason RapidWeaver is resampling them back up to huge sizes. Hmmm
Anyway - this happens each time I re-publish the site - so now I have to keep the smaller files separate and replace each image individually. Even if I tell the program to only publish the changes I've made - it thinks it knows better and rips through resampling the images back up....
Oh well... for $35.00, it's still right for me.
Cheers
Oh... BTW, is the link to the forum working - I had a report today that people were being redirected back to the start page when clicking on that link . . . mind checking it?
Regards

all three links working perfect
Good to see RapidWeaver works, tho the file size issue shouldn't exist - hope you get it right
Site looks still a bit slow to me, and after entering the submenues the upper 'line' jumps up and gets invisible behind the main menue bar.
Good job anyway

What browser are you using Hubird? - I've tested it here under Camino, Firefox (OS X and X11 versions) and Safari and I don't see this. Not that I'd know how to fix it anyway - but I can post on the RapidWeaver site and see if someone else knows.
Thanks
I think the site is always going to be a bit slow running from broadband connection at home - I'll just have to shell out for web space with better bandwidth I guess

I.E. v.5 on OS9.2.2
Must be the server then, I checked some files, they are small indeed

(just comparing it with my own site, not made by me)

there is most likely a setting in the program's preferences that tells it to retain graphic resolution - things like that are unlikely to be program errors.

cheers, Tom

(sorry for the interuption of the thread)
are you really expecting me to ask your permission for anything I write ?
You, who points out his own appreciation of sarcasm on every occasion feels p*ssed by a simple ironic question ? LOL

I've removed the 'tip of the day' sidenote that you consider 'twisting'.
You're so concerned (aka paranoid) about your own public image that you didn't even notice it's value. Even if it read simple, it wasn't the stuff you find in books

No need for me to be everybody's darling and in particular not yours - imho I've dealt with your unavoidable presence in a respective and polite way.

My opinion about you is only influenced by how you act (as a person) and never by the content your messages.
I have to admit that it was a mistake to ever trust in you (did I make any jokes about your infamous choices of nicknames once ?).
You always longed for that type of confession, didn't you ?

You used to write me (a couple of) funny PMs until I made a (biting) sidenote about some Open Source stuff (which I used to do for years before you appeared on this board) - and all of a sudden I advanced to enemy number one.
Not that I feel too much honoured, or that it's of any importance at all - yet it reveals a lot about your character.

For me you're the type of guy who votes against high powered cars today, but won't refuse a Ferrari tomorrow. Fishing for compliments with pseudo political stuff in the off topic section, but taking the job on a multi's board of members (if offered) tomorrow.
(of course... that's highly subjective)

It's really nothing important and mentioned only for the casual reader who stumbles across the lines and asks himself 'what the heck are these dudes talking about' ?

cheers, tom

Yeah - Apparently it was a known issue and this problem has been fixed - the program was overriding compression settings... Good to know it wasn't me

You don't deserve a response to your BS attempts at further provocation on Brett's thread here Astro, but I have to say that in my opinion you just don't know when to stop.

Incidently, posting my real name & some private words from a PM isn't exactly fair play. Nor was it cool.

I've got more important things to do than playing bat & ball mind games with you, so lets just agree to disagree & leave it that.

Hopefully we don't actually NEED to address one another, which would just be delightful.

no need to be pathetic - it was you who started to over-interpret a harmless question with a wink.
I never published any content from those private messages, except some greetings in respone to John's concern to show him that there is nothing to worry about.

You never signed any PM to me with your real name - I didn't publish any more than you did yourself on some other forum.
Yes Shroomz, you're easyly recognizable by patterns in your language, but it was just for scientific purpose. If stupid me can do it, then what are the real smart dudes able to do...

If I post (or have posted) a comment to something you've written it was NOT (and never will be) related to your person - you can rely on that.

You will not get any special treatment because you're so sensible or whatever else, in particular as you claim the right to deliberately p*ss of anyone with your 'language' when it comes to your mind

cheers, Tom

The site's looking better Brett.

I think you probably will need a hosting package (in particular, to speed up your music downloads) Shouldn't cost you more than 5 bucks a month to start with, then when you get traffic limits regularly reached you can upgrade.
