I ask "ONE" thing only for the new site..

Please upgrade your forums to something that moves a little faster than a 1973 Dodge Pinto with 3 tires and a donut.

Anything like a UBB or a PhP would do the new site some justice. Also I would just like to say the new site looks greats, clearly a major upgrade in terms of looks and ease of traversing the pages.

Congradulations on a job well done, but please do consider using a different code for the forums, because the previous ones were extremely slow and put most people off from even ventuing into them. I have DSL and it would still take a very long time to open threads.

Ohh yea, I think it looks tech, a nice step up from the previous logo, now if they would update all there synths and software that has the old logo in it, ill be happy cause the @ looks hacked up on some synths.

Really? I remember someone saying, that some years ago, if you had Scope/SP, you always got EVERY new plugin for FREE.

Now they speak about SCOPE home/project/pro. That SFP4 only has those "modes". I do say it is SILLY if my Scope/SP will not be Scope Pro after SFP4 update.

"The new SCOPE 4.0 software will be available before Easter for all existing CreamWare users on CreamWare’s web site free of charge."

As it is stated there as well:
"SCOPE home substitutes the Luna product"
"SCOPE project is now available instead of the Pulsar II."
"SCOPE professional, which replaces the SCOPE /SP system"

Now everybody should know what card(s) he's got in his computer and what the free of charge update V 4.0 will comprise in each case. Ok, exceptions permitting for (older) cards not listed there.

Hmm, I'm not deep enough into the matter of how Pulsar I cards work with recent software. But if this works I would not worry too much. Tomorrow, on friday, I'll talk to Frank about that. Maybe it will be handled this way: If you have more than 4 DSP (on one or more CW-cards like Pulsar, Luna, SRB etc.) then you should be entitled for a project-update. Just as an example!!!

actually, i'm more close to a "scope professional" user than to a "scope project" owner, since my DSP count is 11!!

One thing I've noticed already, following any of the links on the Scope page, e.g.

"SCOPE project
The essential producer package."

...takes you to the German page (from the English). Note that the links on the left hand side take you to the English page.

There's still some mixing of German and English on most pages too.

When you go to the 'Products' page, I would expect to be able to link through from the graphics, rather than having to use the left-hand links (otherwise, there seems little point to having this page). There's duplication of the links just under the top menu, but that's OK.

The 'plugins' link seems to be a bit of a dead-end? No details on what plugins are available, or links to them.

If the left hand side links were framed off, so that they didn't scroll off the page with the content, that'd be nice.

I hope the above doesn't seem too critical - my overall impression of the site is very good - it's easy on the eye and the page layout is very clear - definitely an improvement on the previous site, IMO.

I have 6 creamware boards, and most of (CW)plug-ins availible. I've paid for all of them that came not with SFP.
And I must say I don't regret one off them! and I'm willing to pay for all new great plug-ins in the future.

There is no more Pulsar so the names of the forums ought to reflect this. I had this idea since the SFP was first released.

What about the PowerPulsar owners? It's not a Scope/SP, but has the same number of DSPs - so I am assuming it would qualify the same (but there is no mention of it).

Powerpulsar always had the same software as the ordinary PulsarII - with a price far below the Scope card.

But I agree - I do not find the information as clear as I would like. It can be understood in different ways. CWA knows the right one, but I don't.

I will explain the reason for the speculation (as I see it):

The thing, that has not been cleared to us - the users - yet is ... are the MM/SS packs part of the software - or are they seperate extras for future custommers?

I understand, that we get the software upgrade for free - but are the MM/SS packs integrated parts of the upgrade or are they options (I mean with project, you get to choose, wich one you want) for future custommers?

You won't hear me say any nasty things, if I get no extra free devices. I will be gratefull, if it happened, but I do not expect it. Opinions across the board vary a lot, but this is my position.

Still, I am kind of restless to get the uncertainty out of my head. Also, I have a Pulsar1 with the propack - am I a project user then? I find "project" rather equal to the propack software.

Also, in the case that the plugin packs are included with the software update, what happens when someone already owns one of the packs (and their card falls under the SCOPE Project category)?

For example, if I already purhased Synth n' Sampler pack prior to the update, can I then select Mix n' Master as part of the software update as well as keep the Synth n' Sampler pack that is currently registed to my card?

In addition, when can we expect other more specific details about what the 4.0 update addresses (as far as enhancements, bug fixes, etc.)?

There are already important questions asked concerning SFP4 and which plugings belongs to who. We all would like to hear official statement with respect to this.
Also, questions have raised about SFP4 using 32-float calculations instead of (more accurate) integer math. Could you give some words about this too, how SFP benefits from floating point calculations (besides dynamic range)?

The 32 floating is some user's mess-up. On the site is states:

"It always processes the audio with a 32-bit resolution, and algorithms and parameters are computed with a floating-point resolution of even 40 bits."



It must be the "internet users scan (not read)" thing, wich I think sounds reasonable.
