Nintendo are quite interested in Creamware. They want high quality ambience and trance backing for their games.

The US military are also considering fitting thousands of these cards into the warheads of missiles and dropping them on the masses. Fundamentalists are petrified of dance music.... subharmonic
doosh ...doosh ....doosh of the bass drum apparently. Trance freaks 'em out totally.

The US navy has done some experimenting. Transmitting certain atmospheric pads from Wavelength's devices into the water can cause fighting dolphins to relax, roll over and copulate. It's supposed to be secret, but they want to try this with people. I've already volunteered as a guinea pig.

I heard Nokia were putting a Scope card, an ice cream maker and an egg timer into their new phone

Nah, you heard differently to me. I heard they were putting their new phone into an icecream maker with an eggtimer and watching the outcome on an oscillo-scope.

I can see I have started the tread from hell this time - I just asked if the CW shop was down or not.....

BTW - Nokia will be focusing on their boot department from now on, trying to merge the boot production line with the mobile phone line and join them in one product. I can't actually see were CW fits in to that plan!

It is because the CW software is so flexible, it can be used for (rain) boot soles.

I heard Creamware was being taken over by tiny german goblins in lederhosen, who apparently wanted to use the radardish to contact their brothers in outer space and take over zee vorld.

My theory:

The forum shows posts up to July of last year only.

I think the Bermuda Triangle shifted over Germany, somwhere over CW Headquarters

Yeah guys, go ahead, laugh your asses off, and if CW goes down and the new mighty SHARCs will lie around useless in lame and bitter expencive environments, then your tongues will dry and your eardrums will pop, and the mp3 flood will creatively fill all the hardiscos. And you will weep- banned from paradise

Hope not

Amusing thread

I'm going to NAMM on Saturday/Sunday.

I'll be meeting with Frank Hund on Saturday and will report back to you on Monday morning with as much information as I can, NDA permitting...

Cheers,

NDA? Nah, maybe you should just appoint a vice PlanetZ administrator in case they have to kill you after telling you the truth...

So -- why can't CW have a booth at NAMM? Is it because they have nothing to display, or is it because they can't afford it?

Well, we'll soon see what's up in Goymany (as Bugs Bunny pronounced it).

This is my guess:

Because of the insolvency process, Creamware is (hopefully temporarily) no longer in control of their own money. The insolvency administrator (I guess some government guy) is writing the checks. If that guy decides having a booth at NAMM is not something they should spend money on, then that's how it's gonna be...

Anyway, more news on Monday. If I don't return alive, then you can assume the worst

All right, thanks for the explanation. I just hope CreamWare doesn't tell you not to tell us if they're alive and kicking.

Well no distributer is going to say otherwise until d-day anyway. But I'm not worried about it anyway. The pulsar is still the hub, It's still running on a p4 1.8, it still sounds great and I'm still mixing as much as possible on it.

BTW hello Zhoo over at Russia, had a look at your site. What a fantastic setup you have!

Eric Dahlberg said on the Pulsar-Scope mailing list that he's heard we should see new CW products (or upgrades, whatever) announced at MusikMesse. I believe that's in March?

From all the reports we've heard it seems like they aren't going out of business -- that's good!

I'm sorry to say it shayne, but that wasn't exactly how I understood it.

There wasn't any quotes in that mail, it could just as well have been Eric thinking or deducting that: "since CW doesn't show anything at NAMM then they must show something at Messe" - Which doesn't have to be the truth though........

But who am I to know anything about these matters........
Thomas
