Conspiracy theories are the realm of the seriously ill paranoids. In the end I think most people be they Bill Gates or Steve Jobs would rather be known as someone who did something really great rather than the richest man in the world.

something Bill Gates will never achieve  something all his money can't buy him - he knows it and it makes him suffer... (according to sources more familiar with with that 'scene' of people than me)

cheers, Tom

because he was more interested in making tons of money.....no problem with making money, but it's hard to concentrate on everything all at once.priorities must be established.'kinda like what goes on in your computer....

i can definitely be wrong, but cw still looks like a company that is not folding to me.the reason that so many chapter 11 companies get bought out so quickly is that the investors(shareholders) are looking for quick returns and they demand the sale to get their money to a more fluid business.someone who is thinking long term then comes by an snaps up the bargain, sometimes for good, sometimes for ill.as long as the creditors are willing to wait a moment(think about it,you can get nothing because the business's assets are minimal or you can let the business continue to sell and get all your money late.duh..i'll take my money),since the shortfall is due to delays in the developement of a product that has been well received and will sell.

afaik,cw shareholders are the very people who have been on this forum(it's not a public company to my knowledge).they have a stake in mantaining their handiwork.wait and see what happens, buy a noah,it'll be all right....

if i'm wrong, then "oh well".my cards will be usefull for a long time.computer people are SO primed to be constant consumers,it's funny!(*with much sarcasm*'oh please!i must have the newest, latest!my stuffs no good,it's more that three months old!")don't you just want tools that can be used to make music?don't you have those?good!then your purchase was NOT in vain!cheer up!

thanks for the stuff cw!i'll be looking forward to another 4 years.and another.and another.

that is absolutely correct, CW is a 'limited' corporation which means that the company is considered a 'person' by law.
The shareholders are responsible up to the amount of money they invested, that's the limitation.
Since that amount is usually below actual credits the persons holding shares can rather easily rebuild a new enterprise once the original goes broke.

Well, of course not too easily (to prevent fraud) but it's a regular practice.
Since the big 'capital' of CW is their knowledge, which is almost impossible to be forced to sell (due to it's immaterial nature) I am totally convinced that the company will continue - in whatever form.

One of Germany's large suppliers for leased equipment still has the complete product range listed in their catalogue.

I totally agree with the usability of current cards and software. I simply love it.
