Okay, more update ...
If you search the most extreme and complex sounds ever, well, Flexor can go beyond your physiology's tolerance !!

Simply as that, an another dimension !

The more I dig, the more Flexor trashes my references, it's utterly staggering ...

No, no, I'am sober and not overreacting !

Are there any differences between using Mod II or Mod III with Flexor?

(Mod II man myself atm)

Well from the FAQ :

"Q: Will flexor work on all modular versions?

A: FleXor has been thoroughly tested on Modular II and III, and it works very well in these systems. Regarding Modular I and FleXor, it is neither recommended nor supported by us, although it does work."

Plus, I didn't thoroughly checked but I'am pretty sure the patches relies only on Mod II modules, logic : not to deprive Mod II users of patches ...

there are 3 patches in the pack who need modular 3 and thise are marked with "(MIII)"

Modular 3 is very recomended becouse it has those small and overlooked modules that make it alot better for advanced synthesys.

Peace!

ModIII has stuff like Diodes, Dividers, Mulipliers, etc. that I don't know anything about, but some people do!!

Odd .. indeed now I take more care and open my eyes  Autovocoder has (MIII) but not FleXong ... oh I didn't hunt for the third one !
You should buy the Mod III upgrade, with Flexor it should be a bottomless well of possibilities and sounds !!
I must seriously dig the modules ( CW and Flexor ) because until then I didn't feel the instant full gratification !
Now even a " simple " patch is a wealth
It's a real motivation.

My gear lust has hit a concrete wall and my other synths will gather some dust I'am afraid ...

I just discovered that Flexor has made the ( quarter ) front page of Creamware !

I don't know if it was planned but it surprises me anyway

Red_muze, you did the impossible thing!
I didn't plan to buy flexor. (you probably remember that). But guess what happened. I've tried the demo hour yesterday. And i need to make a BIG appologize to you. What you did to the creamware modular suite is simply incredible. I could not believe my ears when is was trying the included patches from Flexor. Boy does this thing sells itself. You don't have to worry for a thing i guess. It was a nice surprice to click on the A on the modules. The explanation per module is really good!!! The sound of the oscilators are unbelieveble. The included filters are sounding very smooth. Friday i will buy the key to your excellent product. Thanks for finally releasing this stuff.

Hi!
After my bad experiences with the demo I decided to buy Flexor without listening&trying. Even I didn't know all modules which were coming. Just bought it by listening to the pulsar community... I don't regret that:

I just spend some hours with a very simple first try device which just connected the Pitch 2 CV to an OSC, a filter, Envelope&filter controlled by Hyperfollow, playing a Guitar to control that thing.
Wow!!! Pitch 2 CV is another dimension for conrolling synth sounds. Beutiful!!! What about a CV2MIDI (internal Modular control) device? I'd like to play drums on my guitar ;o))).

Thanks for Flexor - all bad feelings about the demo problem are replaced by good flexor feelings.

After making a number of complex patches and working with flexor for a few days, I can't believe how I survived without it!

These modules boost Creamware's Modular way up, so now it's not hard to see that our modular beats all! (well maybe not Kyma, but who can afford that) These new modules just bring a 'completeness' to the modular.. it now seems a virtually limitless tool, which brings many inspiring sound creation ideas! It also opens up so many new possibilities in algorythmic composition. The filters and oscs of course sound and function beautifully and finally let us explore beyond the "creamware sound" and go anywhere!

_catches breath_

Even if you aren't a "modular freak", you'll certainly find a use for flexor. I am amazed that it has been released at such an accessible price.. thank you Adern for making this possible for everyone!

I just started using the Flexor modules. This is the first time I bought something not knowing how much it costs as I have no idea how much 99 euros is. The download and installation wasn't so easy. I wish I could get all the files such as the registration, modules, patches, manuals etc. in one download and have them automatically install to the correct folders with one mouse click. I think it took me about 45 minutes from the time I clicked on the purchase button until I was ready to use the modules. I pity the people who aren't so familiar with the SFP.

Having said all that I, I fiddled with the new modules for hours and I must say I am happy with my purchase. The filters put the CW filters to shame. Excuse me Red, because I know you don't like me to criticize CW in any way. I can only hope that CW hires him in the future because this is the kind of thing that should have been included in the Modular III upgrade. Congratulations and Thanks!

I completely see your point, Braincell, but I'd like to disagree with a
It is very very important for the platform to have such talented developers outside of CW.
Afaik Adern uses the CW 'atoms' in their very own creative way, which results in a distinct flavour of sound. Fortunately an extremely high quality sound as well
This should reveal the potential of the complete SFP system to everybody. It wasn't even necessary to recode on the assembler level to get that level of improvement - or difference, if you prefer. Incredible !

I've also been very impressed, though I made the mistake to load the small 'do-it-yourself' package which doesn't get you very far in the short demo time
Since this was more out of curiosity (I was determined to order it anyway) it doesn't matter, but even small items were a lot of fun.

If CW manages to get the complete Flexor extended Modular package on NOAH too, this could have a tremendous effect on future sales.
Clavia started with a highly competetive price on their new Modular - seems CW can answer with quality. I haven't heard the new Nord yet, but an improvement beyond Flexor's quality is hard to imagine.
No offence in Clavia's direction intended, but we all know CW just got out of the worst part of their financial issues, so some good sales figures wouldn't be too bad

cheers, Tom

btw. does anyone know if any respectable music mags (ie. Sound on Sound) will be reviewing Flexor?
I know they did a review of the zarg Prophet and the Pulsar platform as a whole (and the NOAH of course) but I really think Flexor deserves a bit of space in the mags so more people will take note and buy CW

PS I can't wait to try it myself but I'm paying off debts and saving for monitors at the moment
