nope, it works fine with the old one, the new hardware just looks "nicer" (newer anyways) and 25% DSP increase

well it must be perfect then

i mean 6.5 is pretty good. most electronics don't even get up to 4.anything before they stop getting updates.

No, just getting tired of people with no or minimal experience with Windows Vista (who keep bashing Windows Vista) and then giving credit for 'less-than-killer' features to
non-available software which is in fact using (one of) the new features of Windows Vista.

Most people I have discussed with about vista/w7 etc are waiting to put 8GB ram for samplers (they load a portion of the sample start in ram anyway...) noone talked to me about 64 bit drivers directly (even though it is related).
I am personnally happy with XP, but in the same time I don't use huge sample banks...

Hasn't the Scope software had this function for a long time anyway? In "Classic" View dragged devices become transparent even in XP! So it seems to me there's still no need to buy either Vista or a graphics card with a fan...

(not that I was about to do either in any case)

I was curious and switched to classic view just to see what you mean, and it does fine here on Win2000. No need to switch to XP, it seems

Even better! Now, if it would just work in linux, too...
