Driver only for now.

They are still transferring the code.
Not sure why since Scope doesn't really need tons of system RAM :)

I am using 64bit Windows 7 and it works perfectly well.
MSI X58A-GD65 / i7 930 OC'd to sweet spot.
Bidule, Reaper and Kontakt 4.1 64bit apps working nicely with Scope 5.1.

windows 7 32bits is like XP 32 or Vista 32 ,max RAM available for these OS is 3 Go (even if you have more RAM)

To have no this limit and use >3Go, you have to use windows 7 64bits.

3.25 normal users
3.5 (approx) for hardcore tuners ... unusual amount, eventhough my previous setup showed just a bit more than 3.5 GB ram recognized/usued by XP).

Ralf did tell me in a email that SCOPE's STS Samplers MIGHT be able to take advantage of more Ram in Windows 7 X64 bit, so that's something to watch for when the STS Samplers are available for the X64 Bit version of SCOPE.

The fact that all devices are not available for x64bit beta of scope tells me it was definitely more then just a simple driver write for S|C. I always suspected it was alot of complex codeing for x64bit SCOPE S|C had to do.

I myself was planning on running the x64 bit version of SCOPE soon but i recently installed Windows 7 x32 bit cause i needed a new O/S installment badly thus i probably won't go anywhere near x64 bit for awhile now. Plus i've had my eyes on stuff like the WIVI Instruments rather then large samples loading. I am still curiouse if i will get a little bit better low-latency performance with my computer in Windows 7 x64 but i hate reinstalling all my apps and buying a new internet adapter so i'll probably just stay with Windows 7 x32 bit for a longtime and just continue using and searching for more efficient methods for conserving Ram when working with Native plugins.

Yes it is necessary to remain careful.

Cubase 5.5.1 64 have some problems still, and all the plug-ins doesn't work in it. Just an example : guitar rig 4 doesn't work and freeze cubase 64.

So when all the elements of the chain will be ok, the adventure will be open !

Good to know! Thanks guys. But for me, it's time to do my part of field testing now, as I'm a bit stuck in the same situation than Soundesigner is. My os is badly in need of an upgrade after years of good services.

Not true, see my attachement i'm using Win7 32 Bit and 6gb ram used by the system , you can see that i use 617 mb cache and have 5099 mb available ,total 6143 mb !!!

this is a trick also used in win 2008 server edition !

Danny.

what attachment are you talking about? Windows server 2008 trick?
Do you mean some 2008 server R2 "trick" (which is necessarily 64bit by the way)?
Sorry, it's been stated so many time as not being possible and you might have to give some proof of 4->xx GB used in full charge in your 32bit Windows 7 to be credible.

Let me just add that it's not because you see 8 GB in your 7's task manager that the OS is able to use it.
This is a question of being able to address such memory ranges, with 32bit.
