Wathever you buy, just make sure it really does what you need it to. A basic UPS will only have a line filtering circuit equivalent of a good powerbar.
If you have severe line problems, you'll need more than basic line filtering. You'll need either a dual conversion unit or voltage correction circuitry. In the case of APC, you'll only find these features on the Back-UPS Pro 650VA and higher models.

Balanced AC
RedSun, thank you for this information!
looks like this is a winner then: http://www.apc.com/resource/include/tec ... sku=BP650S
This one does voltage regulation then (it says "Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR)")? Why buying a Furmann then
Link to an actual store selling it + price:
http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10032494
but wait, it says 410W... Does it mean it will not work if your studio uses more?
I am not super savvy with electircal terms, but I have a feeling that my equipment combined would need more? Let me know if I am wrong and if the model would be fine

Mano1,
The answer is not quite simple. You should take the time to read the <a href="http://sturgeon.apcc.com/whitepapers.ns ... rks">white papers</a> APC has on this subject. The most appropriate one in this case is the <a href="http://sturgeon.apcc.com/whitepapers.ns ... ">WP-15</a>.
It will help you decide the power rating your UPS needs.
