this deals are just to good to be true. I think the Pulsar II and the Pulsar XTC are also very nice offers.
Just had my first full DSP load last weekend....

(using a Pulsar II btw)
BUT, There is very good news coming in a week.....!!!!!!!

Musquash, do you mean physically put the I/Os on the SRB from your Pulsar2? I think not. The SRB is 15 Sharc DSPs and that's it. Nothing on the plate. Once you connect the SRB to your Pulsar2 card via the S/TDM cable (remember to get one now otherwise you'll be very frustrated) and launch the Pulsar/SFP environment you'll see you DSP indicator will see 21 DSPs! Your environment stays the same, you'll use you Pulsar2 I/Os as before but you'll have more DSPs than any man has a right to. Hope that's clear.

ps. I 'm very tempted to get the SRB too.
pps. I read somewhere that a Mac user (I'm one) had to remove his speaker from his G4 before he could get the SRB in. Is this true? Is the SRB longer than the standard PCI card? If someone with an SRB card could get their tape measure out and measure it us Mac users would be very grateful!

Don't know about taking the I/Os from Pulsar II, but you can certainly purchase I/Os plate for a Scope SRB.

To TonyR.
I had a Korg Oasys in my Mac G4 for a while.
This is the biggest PCI card i have ever seen!
I had to bend it in place(careful...CAREFUL....please don't break...oh my god that was a tight fit)
and i did'nt remove anything.

Oh God I hope it fits! (G4 user here too)
I hate worrying about these things.

My dream bundle: The A16 & the SRB. Okay. Nightmare. At least for my social life, my sleep & bank account...

To Mac users.
Don't worry.
If i could fit that Oasys in card in my G4, any card will fit.
PCI cards don't get bigger then that.

A Scope SP cards fits in a MAC G4 466 without problems...
But I think Kimgr may be right as the DP card was abit bigger ..

I've just phoned up a dealer about ordering one of these spacial Scope SRB bundles here in the UK and im being quoted £1399. It seems we have to pay VAT ontop of the £1141 price listed on the creamware site. I didnt think you had to pay vat on stuff from europe?
Im guessing even if I ordered it directly the post office will do the same.
Anyone know about this kind of thing?

I’m eating my hat! I’m literally dying to buy an SRB, a 6DSP one or a SCOPE SRB, but… very unfortunately can’t afford it. I’m really suffering to see this opportunity to go by, with no possible way to buy it!!! Just terrible!

Terrible!

Terrible!

Terrible!
