Might be worth mentioning that if you have a "regional" version of the OS, you have to also download the same version for the updates.
I have to get the UK English version here in Australia.

Before trying to do the 9.2.2 upgrade you will have to upgrade to 9.2.1.
tried that...
If you are having problems with 9.2.1 make sure you are restarting your Mac with just the OS 9.1 base extension set enabled. Turn off any security software you might have...and make sure that your energy control panel is set so that it won't put your Mac to sleep during installation.
It should work. I installed the updates to two macs over the past two days....went smoothly.
hope this helps
i wanted to do it the 'proper way' this time, so i came across this info as well. it didn't help though

thanks anyway.
i hope the solution blgrace has given me will do the trick. the start up disk immediately checks 'brussels, belgium' somewhere, so i guess this CD is indeed region specific. thanks
no need for 9.2.2 though, as samplaire said. 9.1 seems to run ok so far... but i'm in for some experimenting lately. damn, how i would love to see someone elses mac/cubase/SFP set up at work... i'm becoming more confident, but still don't really know if i do the right things (and WHY so).
what a weekend!!! where's my bed? my friends start to look at me in a funny way. do any of you get an occasional mail from 'TAXI music news' once in a while? lately there was one about 'self interest' as the key to success... interesting.

Yes, I get taxi news very often but I gave them my second address and this is not such a pain for me receiving tons of e-mails.
