People, this kid is a sociopath. His posts are offensive enough by themselves, but he manages to generate so much response that he dominates the forum - how much longer do we have to endure his madness? He's wreaking the same havoc on the yahoo group list. Ignoring him won't work, please, let's get rid of him and restore this forum.

Hi Dxl,

95% of your replies are irrelevant or better said, could all fit in a nice buglist. It could be famous, just like the contributions from Eliam, Nestor, Ken, Sub,... What would you think if they started posting one-liners about sampling, mastering, optimising, as reply to every one's posts, no matter what the orignal poster's topic was? Cos that's exactly what you're doing.

So what is your reason of posting on planetz? Do you try to make a bug list? Then try to order it. Put it under one topic. Even if you'd want people not to buy Creamware, try at least to order your ideas a little bit. And get a typo checker. Cos man you're seeing to many weird letters in words.

The only thing that keeps you from being kicked is the basic democracy of a forum. Guess we'll have to live with it. I'm sorry if once in a while I have to say what I think of you. You're the last bug and virus in my computer.

Just out of interest what is the democracy of this forum?
Most forums have like a board listing rules of things that are okay and that are not.

If anyone can do as they please on this forum without being chucked off, or if basically anything goes.

That is not democracy its Anarchism!

as I said in http://www.planetz.com/forums/viewtopic ... 5&start=40 I would suggest to limit him to passive membership (read only).
That way he can read problem solving issues etc. without fucking up planetz.

Wait till 3.1 comes out and see what happens om planetz.
Chaos and off topic discussions all over the place I'm afraid.
Brrr.

An extract taken from the registration agreement which we all including dxl agreed to.
You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this Forum to post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane......
It is quite clear that dxl has breached this agreement not once or twice (forgiveable) but on practically every occasion that he posts, something should really be done.

I don't think there is a democracy on here and neither should there be I guess unless John wants there to be.

We can all agree to be a lynch mob as much as we like but it really is John's decision.

Of course, we can pressure John in ways - we could abandon this site completely or we could flood John with email, but who really wants to do that.

Look, I find his posts as offensively ignorant as everybody else - although I occasionally agree with something he's said. I also entertain the notion of leaving this forum because I can't tolerate seeing this shit in every single thread.

I think proclaiming a so-called "bug" in a public and affiliated website like this without any first-hand knowledge and with no factual basis borders on libel and should be treated as seriously. A person who sprouts such nonsense in such a continually destructive manner should be warned on a number of occasions and then cast out, but this is not my website.

So the only course of action I have is to decide whether to stay or whether to go.

At the moment I don't want to lose the advice of many people like subhuman (who should be considered an international treasure) so I stay, but I can certainly imagine a time in the future when enough is enough and I'll probably stop attending this forum.

Well, I've tried to keep these forums as much a democracy as possible. I've avoided censorship and intolerance whenever possible. I could be a hard-ass about the finer points of the registration agreement, and ban anyone who mis-steps, but I've only excercised that right in very extreme cases.

However, I do not want to see this community dissolve because of the obnoxious behavior of a few individuals (as happened back at the topica pulsar list when a certain individual made it intolerable for everyone else, and the pulsar-scope list at yahoo groups was formed). I don't think that time has necessarily come yet, but if you guys are collectively planning some kind of an exit, start a petition here and I'll consider a more active role in removing dxl.

In my opinion, dxl is young and immature, and hasn't quite learned the finer points of human electronic interaction (and netiquette). One day he will learn, and he'll look back on these times as wasted opportunities. Meanwhile, he does occasionally have a reasonable question, and we can try to ignore the other times. If he ever completely unambiguously crosses the line, he'll be banned.

I would suggest to the rest of the community that we please STOP DISCUSSING DXL. Try not to feed the flames - ignore the posts that bother you, and respond respectfully and helpfully when he posts something reasonable. Maybe he'll get the hint that being nice is better - or he'll leave when no one takes the bait anymore.

Respectfully,
-John

I never post any material which is
abusive, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane
before any others.

I seldom post any material which is knowingly false and/or defamatory, inaccurate.
or maybe to some of you some bugs ain't consider bugs to you coz you got the 100% right system running or you persuade it's normal.

probabily the best way to get rit out of me is to delet my user name and one of my IP. but i guess i will do what some of you do. "new user"

Believe me, with your unique style of writing (or whatever it is), it wont be hard to spot your very first post DXL.
