Here's a video for the new Roland AIRA Eurorack System 1M wich is their new Modular version of the AIRA System 1 - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u0djAJlewls#t=79

It's expandable and it'll be $599 EURO and the add-on effects are 299 EURO. It runs the Roland vst plug-outs, has AIRA link and USB for Audio and MIDI, and has a editer that runs on your computer and CV inputs.

PS. The AIRA line of Roland products are generally under-featured IMO, but the new Modular makes them a little interesting IMV.

Yes it is. But still a interesting move and product by Roland IMO. I'll be keeping a eye on this Roland System 1m Modular to see where they take it in the future with new additions far as hardware Eurorack modules go and ITB VST Plug-outs as well as new AIRA products, etc. It's getting a lot of attention so it seems to be a good move by Roland. The whole AIRA line tho mostly not for me seems to be a good move by Roland since a lot of people seem interested in them.

Roland seems to have addressed your concerns as well . They are also about to release System 500 wich is a analog Eurorack Modular. So there is 2 Modular Systems being released by Roland - the Aira System 1m and the Analog Modular System 500.

Both new Roland Modular Systems the analog and digital one seem interesting to me. Very intelligent moves by Roland.

Now that's more like it! Way to go. I'd like to see a reissue of the Jupiter-6 though, maybe in a rack, fully analog. I sold mine 10 years ago

Here's a video named 20 Systems . It is about a guy's museum of Modulars, fairlight and other synths. A history lesson on synthesizers and their evolution is sorta given as well as audio demo's from his beautifull collection. Each instrument is solely used for every sound in different tracks of his album "20 systems". The original Moog Modular was amongs the best sounding imo. What a lovely and amazing collection.

Sounds pretty good. With current trends I'm sure they'll be a re-issue of your old synth/baby at some point. Whether Roland stay true to the original or not with their remake is another question. It appears sometimes they do and sometimes they don't like with the digitizing of some of their old analogs.

Even if they did like what Korg did with their legacy collection and have it as soft synths, it would be great. I think Korg did this like over 10 years ago... It looks like they are moving in the right direction.
