he did get an XITE-1D. he traded in his cards and got a special deal. he was mad because there was a sale after and the XITE-1 would've cost him just a little bit more than the D if he would have waited. he was then offered the sale price on the XITE-1 and the opportunity to return the D, but he felt like there were games being played with him about price, so he exploded. it's too bad, really. it's very hard for people to trust others these days, and so many think that buying stuff makes them the king of those they buy from...i blame these guys:

You can always get mad when you buy something just before a deal period.
Depanding on the way you ask and how nice the people who sold you stuff are, it often ends up with something between "too bad for you" ( most of time ) and some fair compensation (which not means getting the best solution).

I feel SC team is quite fair on that front...

I also wish I new the lottery numbers before they get out but this does not really happen in real life.

I once bought a Nord Modular G2 DSP expansion card (clone) from Encore Electronics a week before there was a special price discount. I mentioned that on a forum (I was not mad or anything) and Encore contacted me and I got a partial refund

A long time ago I ordered a Quasimidi Technox synth module from a company that dissapeared short afterwards. I paid a percentage upfront and the money was gone. About 10 years later I found the guy on a forum and he paid the money back

The worst case I have ever heard about so far about situations like this one, happened quite a few years ago, around 1996 or so, when 3D was extremely expensive, everything about 3D was expensive: the super-computers needed for the work, the rendering machines, and of course, the software, which was among the most expensive of the world. I cannot remember now if it was Maya or rather 3ds Max, yes I remember, it was 3ds Max. He got a copy of 3ds Max for his company, let say, today, but tomorrow the software would go half price. Watch out, we are talking about several thousand dollars difference! He wanted to kill someone, poor guy. His main complain was “why they didn’t tell me that waiting one more day I could save so much money”. A pretty obvious question… He was mad, there was nothing to do, no refund possible either because of the way he bought it. This has happened to me too with some upgrades now and then, but nothing to get mad about.

Yeah, but he could have bought some 8 Balls or something......
I had to give up Heroin, Cocaine, Prostitutes and Alchohol for my gear, so I know there's a BiPolar/Displaced Agression period, but having some sessions with the Sargeant in the YouTube video can really be motivating.....
