Yes, the sound/hiss is physically comming from the Xite box.

It is not fan noise - it is something else.

My guess is that one or more "components" are producing the hiss when they get warm enough. It usually doesn't start until after 5-10 minutes from I turn on the power on the Xite.

I had a similar issue with mine, I swapped out the power supply for a new one and my problem went away.

That is interesting!

What kind of new power supply did you swap it out with. Did you get a new from SC?

Yes, I got a replacement PSU from Sonic Core which solved the problem perfectly, and it's been two years now without the issue.
