When you get the error message, and press "si", what happens?

when you optimize, you must reinitialize the driver in cubase.
this is normal. when you reload the dsps, the connection to the sequencer is dropped. you can "reset all" or restart cubase.
it's not about the quality of the ASIO driver.

I am sorry to be basic, but please confirm that you are NOT using any scope devices beside the dynamixer (which isn't a good choice, regardless). Unless 5.1 causes the problems (stupid numbering, they should do a proper 5.0 before they went further, but apparently turned all yamaha). Your error can be anything, unless u do a proper test, i suggest the following:
Start with a blank project, only ASIO to whatever outputs. does it work?
Then add the devices you want, and post the result of which device causes the error. First off i suggest u use any other mixer than the dynamixer.
Also, if you paid 12000E for 30 dsp and 2 a16ultras, someone is laughing at you at this point.

Also, from a PM i think atleast one of your cards is a 1st gen card (the one you payed loads of money for). If your second card is a 2nd gen card, then try your project with just this card attached.

yeah, throw away your old minimoog and your OBX and your 1176 compressor and your old Neve channelstrip and your 57 Esquire and your 59 Les Paul while you're at it. they're all old. everyone knows that old sounds terrible.
Scope and Cubase work fine together at 96k, only your computer can do at best half of what it will at 44.1 and it'll probably do less than half because of the way loads are distributed. that has nothing to do with age. just because Steinberg doesn't want to be responsible for what they do with THEIR own coding is no reason to freak out. ASIO is a protocol. that's why Scope works with almost every sequencer. the problem with Wavelab is most likely the result of the NAME of a file or two that Steinberg has decided to use. if the ASIO implimentation is actually different in Wavelab, then again Steinberg is responsible for not following their own protocol. there aren't that many Scope users compared to other sound cards and even fewer that use Scope cards in ways that have conflicts with Steinberg products. since Steinberg doesn't want to put out any energy for a small contingent of users, they'd rather just tell you that your hardware is old, and make you go buy something else. that way they don't have to do anything.
i use Cubase and like it very much. i have a Pulsar 1 in my system that is more than 15 years old.

that interest me. thanks gary

that is good advice, stardust.
Steinberg may fix the issue with Wavelab eventually.

The result you are getting is consistent with my XITE1-D using 96KHz. Things run out very quickly at 96Khz, both Host and DSP. My workaround is to have a Record project at 96Khz, with no mix / mastering plugs.
Once all recording is done at 96Khz, back up the recordings, make copies reduced to 48Khz then build mix/master projects.
Whats the point of recording at 96Khz if you have to reduce all tracks back to 48KHz for mixdown? Basically, to preserve as much of the source material as possible as one day you may have enough DSP (upgrade to full XITE-1) to mixdown the 96Khz versions of the stems.
For many projects I wouldnt bother with this, Id just use 48Khz and be done with it. But, if you want to do it at 96Khz on limited DSP, the above is one way to do it.

sonicore can take for change older card for purchase new xlite 1. say an exchange, so they spent much of the material.
so no one will buy two XLite.

so serious it would be a house.

When XITE first came out, I think there were swap deals. Doubt that will ever happen again. best sell cards privately then buy XITE.
