Mac is out of time, pc is better under every point of view, better priced, more advanced software and better stability with creamware cards.
Well Misty thats not true, a PC is very good on a lot of things, but I can tell you I work alot with videoproductions,
with both Highend PC and Macs
well its more problems, (A LOT more with the PC) than with the MAC.
and the MAC is configured like it was from the shop (Firewire is built in, just start to work)
Ok YES the PC has a better Price.
who cares !!!
A scoda Car has a better price than a
Ferarri to. ...

Misty, tell that to all the newspaper offices, or the Production companies... ect...
They all use mac, why?
Well, I won't tell you, I hope you have it figured out. But something tells me you are like 18-20 years of age. I can tell from the naivity required to put such post together.
To the ones saying mac and pc has the same apps.... NO
They are very unlike. I use logic and can use TDM support when doing real producions. Try that on a PC. or even Office 2001 or 10 (os x) Whoa! What a difference. Also the elegancy of the internet explorer on the mac, beat that.
Heck I changed from PC to mac. (Now I know what a computer really is all about!)
I won't try to convert anyone, I'm only saying I loved the crossover to the other platform. I hope you all have a chance to try this incredible OS some time. I got hooked.

The other thing about Macs is if you prefer a rackmount it's going to look like this:

I think apple is very good, but a pc based system can make the same at a lower price, is just a question of configuration.
I know that logic and pro tools are designed especially for Mac, but on a pc system pro tools is not necessary , we can choose from a range of hi end software, from sequencers to plug ins and in addition with Pulsar scope environment and a good knowledge, we can make everything.
Yes, Ferrari is a good car(i'm from Italy), but Mac is not like a Ferrari, is just a colorized plastic piece.
Bye

Actually the chassi is built mostly of alloys such as fiber composits and sulphat dioxides...
Uhm, misty: It's also the macOS you want, .... you guys thinking BeOS was cool with low latency legacy drivers and averall high performance? hehe macOS provides latencies between 15-25ms (not using ASIO or directsound, only software drivers).... BeOS was marking 70ms. Using ASIO puts the latency at 3ms up to 23ms on a mac and you can't have higher latency 'cause 25ms is MacOS's system latency. ehhehe windows has what, 750ms ? ehehhehhe.
Michaelj ehhe I think I saw you in my rearview mirror!
