You mean like using offshore ship registration so you don't have to even be subject to regulation when doing *never before tried* deep water drilling (only 1 well previously went as deep etc.)
Or do you mean being allowed to 'insure yourself' with a 'liability cap' that gets full congressional approval?
And they said we don't pay for good politicians these days...

Yeah, out in international waters where only the CAPTAIN can enforce the laws

The investigation is over. Global climate change is real and it's man made.

yeah, whatever. some scientists FAKE data, write emails about it and then some guy with a title says they did nothing wrong and so therefore i should believe.
it's just like the police internal investigations unit here. the policeman MAY actually commit serious crimes while doing his "duty", but somehow the investigation ALWAYS clears the officer. even if he shoots and old lady(happened here), punches a woman on film(happened here), kills a mentally retarded child(happened here) or whatever abuse or misstep. even the "independant" investigations never are independant and neither was this one.
just saying that it was ok for these guys to lie doesn't make it so, no matter who says it does.
braincell, YOU are free to believe whatever you like. i'll do the same. while i'm doing that, i'll KNOW(no, i don't have to prove that knowledge to anyone) that the whole CO2 global warming story is a hoax.

Record cold in Australia, California, and it snowed in Montreal earlier this month.
NOAA is now disputing these 'results' since they were 'nit-picked' and sensors were in 'hot zones' in cities, etc.
Believe what you will. Enjoy your time in the climate-cult.

Yo Dusty - I was just stirring braincell - wasn't a comment on climate change. Freezin' my cheeks off here.
So what do you think about all this - not about the board members here, I mean about climate change/tax?

Thanks for that, stardust - although as you have said, it's not exactly something one can make one's mind up about, as yet.
Nevertheless, your take on "US loudmouths" I find a little harsh in some ways.

wow, that was the ultimate spin, pitting the true lovers of the children of tomorrow vs. the killers of braincell from amerikkka, hoping that someday only the refined true humans will be left behind.
that was a truly political speech that admitted that no one knows what or why is happening to the weather, trends can continue, but they can also change. it can really get rough when the weather gets bad, and other obvious things.
all the rest was generalization and name calling. in a way fitting of any good politician, the issue of the tax that funds something not quite clear for reasons not fully understood is only opposed by lunatics and hyenas.

i find it ridiculous, but well,...

stardust wrote:So all this denial of change spin is not positively reacting to the facts (including lobby interests of all sides) but only preserving the status quo favoring consumism instead of sustainability
If I were to say I have issues with "carbon taxes" and it's relationship to Reductio ad absurdum approaches to complex issues such as "solving global warming" then I'm thereby equated to being a Libertarian that is trying to preserving the status quo? All the while ranting about a status quo that keeps holding G4/8/20 etc conferences to 'discuss global issues' including "climate Change" (you can believe in!) and giving stern media releases to those who leak hundreds of millions of gallons of oil into the ocean while loaning their buddies billions from our pockets (in the future no less)?
You'll forgive me if I have a hard time believing we can solve everything via carbon tax and cap in trade/production caps...and tossing around the term Libertarian doesn't really mean what it used to anyway here in the States (in the same was that Patriot seems to have changed as well here in the US, at least in the media.)

in fact stardust, i think it's kinda insulting to braincell, making him out to be some victim. with a post like that he goes from forum member to feeble and defenseless. isn't the stalking you're describing something that, say, i don't know....YOU just did in your piece, or usually do, go around and attack that favorite target? a little guilt involved there, maybe...or maybe not.
see, i don't know you, i don't know what you really think and feel, or even what you really look like. like-wise. we only know each other from these pages. we only know con men from their cons, basketball players by their basketball playing, musicians by their music, liars from their lies. the inside is hidden and can't be examined while the creature is alive. it is never existent except those moments, so it cannot be analyzed.
see? i can do it too. the point is, relating to the subject matter(the "Climategate" aquittal), the police here, when they do something like this(not on camera)-
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kLZWtd-TWFQ -and someone complains, then "internal affairs" investigates the action and without a doubt, if there is no hubbub, finds the officer acted appropriately.

Some people are unclear about the facts of global warming. You can read about the history of the discovery of global climate change here:
