Yeah, short of not having enough ladies, and not enough market presence (are we up against UAD, etc.?), and not enough postings on KVR and Gearslutz (hey, where ARE you guys?), I think we're doin' alright.

Speaking of amazing......here's my wireless Analog Synth automated by a rate knob on my KS88 that is controlled by Modular and CC2.
I re did my MIDI patch bay just in time for work.
Perfect for the ZZ Top synth Bass 16th note automations.
Perfect for Blondies House Of Glass too.................thankfully I don't have to play that tune anymore...
This is how you automate an external Analog Synthesizer using Scope.
at0m's Modular LFO to MIDI and Mehdi's CC devices are serious automation weapons.
It's easy to adjust the rate and tempo and I can even convert the rate to BPM's and use multiple out puts to connect a delay.................Scope makes me very happy.
Sequencers are no longer needed except for lights...
I must say though, using hardware sequencers for 25 years has really tightened up my meter.

stardust wrote:Hi Greg,
that actually is not surprising.
First of all I am pretty sure we have ladies onboard, despite the puerile picture postings that create so much amusement in our great community.
Very likely the ladies among us take this for what it is.
And actually you are right, there should be IMHO much more gearslut postings on gearslutz rather than here on Z.
That would leave room for creative posts and sharing of ideas over here.
I am not sure about KVR, they seem to prefer facts usually and not the hot air of excited toddlers or unreflected fanboys.
KVR? FACTS? hahahhaa - nothing BUT fanboys and naive youngsters over there IMO.
Compared to Gearslutz, KVR is a frat party.
Mention scope over there, and all the VST/CPU fanboys start whining. Very little discourse on DSP like UAD, Duende, etc. - and VERY little on Scope. I found Gearslutz a little more responsive.

That’s true, it’s a great place indeed.
I wish I had the time to come much more often and read all about the latest comments, listen to the latest music... but life got busy now, and no time left.
I have been here for more than 10 years already and it has been not only a music, technology and stuff forum, I have mede quite a few friends as well, which is even better.
Most people have shown RESPECT to each other, the good vibrations that Planet Z has, I think, starts there. Then there is a real passion for music. Also, through the years, we have all interchanged likes and dislikes about music, opening a lot our minds to new backgrounds, that’s also a great thing.
Thank you Planet Z for all those years of good things.
Cheers!

yeah, there's some pretty talented folks here (and I DO listen to people's posted tunes when I have time).
Probably high-time that I post some of my latest work....

stardust,
That's 6 beers AND 6 malts for you, so climb on board! We can cover the Hibernian landscape and then some, my collection spans the whole range of flavors. Plus we have some of the finest beers in the world brewed around here (within a few hundred kilos anyway). And from there we can sample a very fine Cognac, an awesome Bourbon, and the finest Jamaican Black Rum I have ever tasted.
netguyjoel,
You'll have to talk to my wife about the wines, she's much more knowledgeable. I do know that we produce some of the best grapes in the world here in Washington State, and the wines themselves are starting to gain a serious international reputation.
I love this place and the people too.
Cheers,
Cory

at0m's Modular LFO to MIDI
Still wonder why sooo many are in love with Z? Buy yourself a 14dsp Card and use the "Search" or introduce yourself to the community!
+1 for the Chianti

wow, that was yours ?

I remember the stuff from a wine tasting session once and I ordered a bottle or two because it was really good.
And I was irritated about the origin at first glance...
cheers, Tom

astroman,
Hey, I WISH those were "mine."
I recently learned that our region is naturally immune to the viruses/fungi that have wiped out so many grape-producing regions, due to the soil composition. Combine that with a nearly perfect climate for grape maturation (in that part of our state anyway, we have a broad range of climate and geography here), and we are gaining a big reputation as one of the best producers world-wide (as in top 5). It is spreading to the wines that we produce as well, although that is a longer process that involves generations of experience to gain.
Not that I'm proud or anything. ~8^)
Slainte,
Cory

hehe, this reminds me of when I just joined planetz. great vibes!
as for me, I'm enjoying some pinot grigio from Palatinate (germany) region. I'm very much a heavy bordeaux person (don't mind tannin) but man... a cold, light white on a summer evening is awesome.
