Some news about efforts to expand the APC beyond its current capabilities, and the potential for unlocking the APC's special handshake with Ableton (allowing other devices to emulate it):

I really like these boxes and the fact that Akai has 960 ppq gives me hope for something like this to work with the APC.......

you would need a host that can handle 960ppq nowadays.

The hardware Akai makes, at least the upper models is 960ppq.
Doing those 64th note triplet snare measures that each note increases w/ velocity and is really smooth. On my QX-1 I have to use 128th notes straight and edit each note then save, which is alot of work but it sounds tight as a Gnat's ass.
