I think music should be played to babies at an early age, but I'm not entirely sure that the kind of repetitive playing while mixing is what will keep them happy. so i'm mostly mixing using cans these days until the night settles in. then I'm in charge of his wealth while mom is sleeping (she needs it badly). most of the time he sleeps but I have to be aware of the time he wakes up. so we got baby phones which let us monitor when he's crying... convenient little pieces of hardware but what to do when you got cans covering any sound happening under 90dbs?

I already thought about buying another one used and solder a line out to it which hooks to an empty input of my luna box...

NESTOR, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH MY SON???!!!
that'a a cool photoshop
the19thbear, I wish you all the best, although this might sound cliché a first kid will change everything in your life
HUROLURA you are right, and this raises the question of how to protect hardware from these mean little beasts. I don't feel like locking everything up. Ah well, I guess that'll give me an aditional reason to buy a xite; my setup would be far more robust than the magma case I use
Yes kylie, they should come up with a 1/8 output jack................................ and why not stuff a dsp in there for sound processing
peace

we have a DECT monitor that has fair transmit quality and range. I would be glad if it had a headphone jack...

I can't even begin to think what it will be like with 2 of them, kuddos kylie. but it sure is on the menu. I'm already busting my wife's balls about it
- what??
- well that wasn't so hard now was it hon?
- oh sure, you were not the one lying on that birth table
- ...
- what?
- hey this guy needs a little sister don't you think?
- sure but let's wait until mister starts to walk before anything
-

- could you wipe that dumb smile off your face?
- ...
A tribute to all mothers of the world, it takes such an amount of courage to give birth

she'll forget about the pain very soon [tm].
and yes, that guy deserves a cute little sister! we did it the same way. 2 years is quite a good interval, imho.
can't remember how it was before. there's nothing like it.
