There's cases of this virus being reported in Scotland now. I had to look & think twice when I woke up with a dodgy stomach & rash on my face today, but I think it was just a reaction to last nights food.

1918's flu was very suspicious. especially since the early eugenics conferences around 1913 had suggested the need for such a pandemic.

Well according to the UK government today, they've been 'preparing' for this for 5 years.

yeah, I remember having read about such a scenario > 10 ago in Scientific or so...

reminds me on the physician who once told me: ...guess what... our diagnosis tools have such a high resolution... I couldn't find an early trace of cancer in anyone, if I'd follow each suspective sign.

So I use to ignore them (to a degree), as otherwise I'd have to treat them.
Noone knows if these early stages will ever develope any real threat... they can exist for decades without any change.
But the diagnosis would turn the patient's life and mental state upside down.
And according to experience we'd loose more patients due to side-effects of treatment, than would die from the disease (if it were for real).

News is playing this way too hysterical imho...

cheers, Tom

On a positive note, Mexicos Minister of Health has reduced the number of confirmed deaths by pig flu from 20 to 7, which is good news.

yes, the 38000 number is closer, but +1.

this is just another official powerplay. i wouldn't doubt the potential virulence. it seems there's finally a human bridge to the bird flu via the pig. the funny thing is that it takes a certain farming culture to breed a cross species, multi species virus like influenza, and that's why it usually start in Asia(or a lab that does splicing. there ARE major labs doing experiments in creating various viral weapons, including flu). for some reason though, this one started out of season in Mexico, a place that it never starts because conditions aren't right....

CDC have released an in-depth explanation based on their investigations.

considering the typical 'conditions' for pigs in modern agriculture it's not exactly surprising...

btw since I caught a flu some years ago I'm left with a fairly reliable 'virus indicator' - with an infection on it's way a specific region of my scalp gets oversensitive when lightly touched.
Always the same location with the very same sensation... before any other symptoms become obvious. :o :D

I read earlier that Swine Flu bombs are already making their way to countries who use lots of bombs. Not sure what that means tho..

The ones that need bombing get bombed

I've got a good idea of who is most likely to be bombed, but I'll have forgotten after writing this.

There are “serious” evidences that this virus has been engendered as Gary suggested.

I have been talking to my friends in Mexico. Some of them are Spanish, and some are Mexican. What surprises them all, is the way the government is leading this… they say the messages are not clear, it is sort of a big confusion around it.

The matter is that there are strong coincidences that point for it to be a BIG business because of the crisis, and that would be the real cause, making a lot of money through medicines that are “already” there, to be sold….
It is a similar situation to that of the aviar…
