For morons like me how about a jpeg. to understand this.
I like the idea and have asked many times, and after dozens of expert opinions I decided to buy to buy the Dynatube makers Acoustic Feedback VST. It's great on synth pads, but I would love to see your example.
I was told it could not be done by everyone I asked....

me probably mentioned for a similiar # of times Zarg's Python Pro Synth or the respective Modular patch - though not specifically in this same context.
But feedback is an integral part of it's synth engine and if someone can do that in Modular, I entirely fail to see what Softtube mean with their bold statement.
Seriously, I can't tell the difference between Python feedback and a guitar in front of an amp.

I have Python, but actually the Softube sounds and works like a real type of feedback, but I think it's pretty limited for a Guitarist.
That's why I use it on samples of Guitars and synths.
I am looking for the bomb feedback from guys like this. The Who heard these guys in Oakland, CA. back in the day and re did Summertime Blues.
These guys live actually gave many future Guitarists like Nugent, Van Halen, Zappa and even Hendrix ideas for such insane feedback.
To be able to morph or modulate from the root to the 5th and vise versa would be the ticket I would think.
I am currently working with wavetables and QWave trying to combine things.
Most recently a combination of the Softube plug as I can control it's one basic tone, and then use an expression pedal w/ CC2 to bleed in the other desired freq's. With CC2 I can have the 2 sliders w/ opposite curves so the root can morph to the 5th by putting the expression pedal at Max, drawing it back would have the opposite results.
At the end of the day there's nothing better than a maxxed channel Twin or 50 watt Marshall stack. But if I can live with fake Rhodes pans live, I could enjoy a psuedo feedback.

sorry, I didn't mean the Python is a guitar processor - it's a synth of course.
But it does a stunningly 'real' feedback processing (of it's internal sounds), so feedback can't be that hard to program. SpaceF also has a really good one in his Echo3 device.
