Very nice synth there. nice to hear something different.
and lends itself rather nicely to (3 pages!) of BCR2000 control.
and btw..the free envelope is great! how is it made if you dont mind me asking.
. thanks!

if you get unregisterred device its because you have to copy all the folders in "scope" and paste them in your scope folder. then restart scope. if you dont restart scope you get the unregistered ramp generator.

Not working at this end mate. I already had the ramp generator installed, but just tried installing like you suggested and then restarting, but I'm still getting the error. It's a 2x 3dsp card system with SFP3.1c and the free Scope 4.0 installed.

roy thinnes wrote:no no, for god's sake. actually, I have no clue which dsp(s) should require extra registration here :-?
It's OK Roy, for me anyway as I'd probably be running this bad boy on the main Scope system usually. I just thought you'd like to know

Agreed 100%.

I have spent all morning on trying to get some new sounds and after 6 hours :o I pulled off some really nice pre's.
I was after the elusive DX7 sound used on Chridtopher Cross's song Sailing and nailed that one, but my FM Tines still have a couple squeaks left in it to iron out.
But I made a snippet of where it's at right now.
It sounds perfect in the Mids and Highs, but those tricky ass Waldorf's are still causing me grief in the Low end.
With 31 algo's you'd think I find a work around.
I stored 9 FreeEG's that are really usefeul, and AuxEG's are handy too.

This device really has a deep round low end unlike othe FM emu's.

This is a nice little synth. Good work indeed. :) Just one little oddity to report: when I select "device show" after it's been loaded onto my board, the GUI shows up to the right almost entirely outside the display area; everything to the right of the letters "DxC" is outside the screen. Not a real bug per se, just something I thought you'd like to know. I can drag it back to the center of the screen in any case.

I've had that happen recently to the routing window as well. I'm wondering if that isn't some more general Scope 'feature' :P

This thing sounds MOST excellent.

I know, but unfortunatly I don't. The SFP software ought to be smart enough to place any device interface in center of screen. Hopefully it's fixed in version 5.

please calm down,
version 1.5 has got all these fixed, plus some more features:
aftertouch is implemented and can be used for pitch, pw, waldoWt, amp, lfo1+2rate, and lfo1 amp modulation.
AT dezip, PWrange, coarse tune and portamento type and time can be edited and are stored in presets.

thanks to sharc and zangsta for notifying me about the "unregistred device" message, and beta-testing!

sorry stardust...ein Mistverstaendnis. :)
what I really wanted to say was:
the "device position not stored in project" bug (as reported by igge) and also the "unregistered device" bug (..sharc...) now is fixed in the new version.
(see first or previous post for more features and DL link).
happy new year to everyone! 8)

I got bugs several times when changing presets: it stops emitting sounds but I can unload and reload the synth in a few sec.
Strange! But apart from that, the sound is HUGE ! That's what I like!!

This is a very, very nice synth. The sounds is familiar to anyone who has used a DX7 or the like, but it has a unique flavor of its own, and it's not something you can easily cobble together in Modular. Thanks much for contributing it.

But there is a problem. It will not respond to MIDI program change or bank change messages. This kills it for use with automated or generative music creation software. If you can find the time, it would be great if you could fix this one (and as far as I am concerned, only) flaw.

BTW, Atze does NOT have this problem, and works great with MIDI program change messages. Also a great sounding, unique synth.

Thanks! Works great now, both Program and Bank change.

I love this synth you created...years ago I ran with a pair of TX816's and every now and again I get the urge to go up into the attic and pull them out, dust them off and see if I can get them running again. Now I don't need to.

That DX sound, it's like Asian food. When you got a yen for it, there is no substitute.

I have some troubles with "coarse tune" button... I can switch only to 0 and -24!
How I can use intermediate values?
I use Scope 5.0 and the last versione of DxCwm.
Any confirm about this issue?

Thanks Roy
