Well, it doesn't have to be a VW beetle, but their cool shape would work well in an art gallery since it's a 20th century design icon.
It would be really funny to do this & watch the Art Critics reactions.

you don't necessarily have to put your picture on them.
I've got it !! I could put a picture of each person receiving one on their own fridge magnet. Imagine their faces when they open their xmas present & it's a fridge magnet with a picture of themselves on it!!

1) it's surely a laugh
2) it's not the usual stuff
3) it's something personal
4) I like the idea getting a personalized fridge magnet much better than ties and socks
it would be a nice thing of sonic core to send out S|C fridge magnet to their customers for christmas. can you imagine a prodyssey sticking to your fridge? well, I can...

Btw, for my modern art concept, what do you think about doing it with a Travant or maybe even Mk1 Lada? I'm thinking they would be more in line with the state of the planet/suffering theme. What do you think?

It IS a good performance idea. definitely.
You can do this in the middle of a pedestrian area.
slowly but with artist tension underpinned with a sound installation from scope....
Thumbs up!!

you mean a Trabant? I have to remind you that the chassis of a Trabant is made of some kinda thick cardboard. you will never stick a fridge magnet to the outer shell of a Trabant, unless you hit the metal frame underneath the surface very close. believe me, I'm an Ozzy

No way! A Hummer. I've decided. That vehicle is a modern icon of suffering.

it cracks me up!
people hating on the obviously wasteful Hummer that is really a sipper of energy compared to the "champion" of global warming Al Gores personal homes energy use.
his eight-bathroom house in the Tennessee city consumed nearly 221,000 kilowatt-hours of electricity in the previous year – more than 20 times the national average.
autos might truly be wasteful and i'm for a better solution, but it AIN'T us reg'lar folk who are making the mess and need to cut down. if we ALL drove big SUVs it wouldn't make nearly as much difference as the so-called elite cutting back 10% from their piggy ways!

You got me wrong Gary. I'm going for the 'where the hummers roll in... people die' angle with this suffering/state of the planet inspired Modern Work Of Art.

Maybe so, but what's that got to do with covering a Hummer with fridge magnets depicting suffering & the state of the planet & calling the 'peace' Modern Art?

So can someone lend me a Hummer for a bit? I promise you'll get it back in perfect nick. It might attract other metal objects, but that could be rectified by blowing it up.
