im sure S6000 mastering pack will sound less quality in powercore. maybe the hardware is what make difference. like our BX hardware vs sofware(also the price)

Also like the current works. I just discovered your A550 S recently, your plugs are very transparent. So transparent they can fix a cheap old Gigastudio Library and make it shine.

Glad the Radikal controller is getting some use.

nice work, though. what's inside that box? an itx board with a scope card tied to it, or is it "just" a controller with a touchscreen mounted on top? (ok, "just" probably isn't that much appropriate... )

Sorry, but System 6000 is based on Windows NT4 inside the rack and it shows NT4 logo on the boot sequence.I was very surprised when i saw it the first time.

The technology used is the same as for our "basic" devices ... some are DAS exclusive ... some use SOnic core SDK atoms ... some are mix of both only the GUI changes ... adapted to 800X600 displays and touch screen (buttons are bigger (much bigger)

I don't think so looks like a midi tool..

it is but not only ... as all buttons are not midi but "native" inside the device ...

as far as I understand you can already hear it (provided you bought the plugins ). this is no more than a different gui and a dedicated hardware control / monitoring for plugins that already exists (although the pure facts are an underestimating view on this otherwise brilliant looking unit).

Yep I suppose this one is just a first prototype and mass production will start as soon as the Xite-1 will be released to provide an advanced companion controller to it.

So there should be a target price somewhere: less than a Lemur controller because less flexible and more dedicated to DAS/Scope plug-ins. I see this one as a kind of KORE 2 controller. Maybe the final name will be "DAS SONIC KORE" ...

every plugin that can be equipped with an alternative gui made to the specs of this controller could benefit from it. right now it is limited to DAS plugins, but this doesn't necessarily have to be so...

i am happy to see that scope and its devices are becoming more and more hardware-oriented. Having so much DSPs and tools hidden in a Pc was almost a shame.... Spending money for hardware (or at least hardware that you can see ) sounds always better than "mere" software tools. So adding hardware (controllers, rack like for Xite) is welcome... Hey Olive, I have a good view but i don't see any Xite in the picture by now ... Fortunatly, the end of the waiting is drawing near

i am afraid i don't understand your question ...

Do you mean :
A - will someone (DAS or any other 3rd pat) try and "clone" a vss3 rev or MD3 or MD4 and port it to scope (xite) and then use it with system 7000 ?
or
B - will SYS 7K abble to "control" a vss3 rev or MD3 or MD4 via midi ?

answer :

B - possible ... if we design a simillar look for the controller (same pages, same cc ...) it will be possible, via midi !

A - about trying to model TC plugz ... not for me !!!

in fact i am not really a "big fan" of TC plugz and especially MD3 or MD4 !!!

About their reverbs, on M6000, i must admit that they sound good (no more), especially the 5.1 engine ...
but if we, at DAS have to port some reverb for SYS7K ... they will be for sure , RMX160, DVERB, GRIESVERB ...

about MD3 or MD4 : DEFINITIEVLY NOT !!!
i personally don't like those dynamics and eqs (M6000 version, i don't know the protools ones or even if they exist !)...

Last time i used these mastering tools, it was a really bad experience
I have rent the studio of one of my friend for a mastering, in order to "test" M6000 as a mastering tool ,
at the end of the session, about one day of 10 hours ... even if i got quite what i expected ... it was so "hard" that i made a promise i wouldn't do it again ... and mainly do as i am used ... SCOPE, and its plugz !
about the sound, bad or at least not so bad ...
about the ergonomy of working on this small touch screen ... with this little plastic pen ... booooh !
this is good for reverbs or such stuff that you tweak from time to time ... but for mastering ... impossible !

md3 is more like optimaster. i found this at sos about md3, "Brickwall Limiter's algorithm oversamples the waveform at five times its output rate, and thus can detect if any 0dBFS+ peaks are present in a signal and apply the appropriate amount of gain reduction to prevent clipping distortion from being generated in subsequent playback systems"
i'm using a100stw for a year. it sounds good than recently i saw a flash demo of vss3 and that sounds a bit better. im also looking forward to see your plugings like RMX160, DVERB and GRIESVERB... if this solve what im looking than it will save lot of money.
btw is there anything to do with 48-bit processing?
