manu wrote:I don't understand why you think i wanted to make a new polemic by writing this topic
Because you always have one agenda - check the % of your posts discussing Scope or helping people vs. the % slandering developers. As i said before, you have an agenda - it's just that we don't want to go along with it OK?
manu wrote:Seems,it's always the same problem here when someone's talking about pirates

planet z does not like pirates. It also doesn't like slandering members with no evidence either.

Cheers, peace and love to all of you for sure.
More sarcasm - that'll help.

Ladies And Gentlemen.................................Hubird.
I rather liked the old pic from the Monty Python movie Shroomz posted way back when. I believe it was the na-na-nana-na one.
I recently saw Olive and Astro and Hubird all chatting like gents in the threads. I was going to say we should raise a flag. But rather than spoil the moment I smiled privately.
This shouldn't be shadowed by a part time poster trying to spoil the party.
I have lived to see these guys chat nicely together after 2 years of cackling.
I would prefer sharing the knowledge and remembering that.
Besides, if Shroomz was doing anything wrong, would there not be some proof?
All I see from Shroomz are the spoils of hard work and sharing.
Maybe others stirring the fires here could elaborate, or maybe share something.
I Love Your Artwork Hubird.

there should be the letters 'plugs' across the barrels, but I let it to your imagination.
btw, my posts in this thread are not directed to DAS or Olive.
man u must know whom I'm pointing at
Olive and I are fine actually, we even had a friendly p. chat

(if it isn't a problem to tell that).

I see Charley Sheen and possibly John Bowen with a red cap, or is it " Just My Imaginarion, Running Away. "

It is John, and captain Scope is actually Ralf, as he plays a dirty double roll.
That young guy on the front is me of course

What a kerfuffle!!
This module was not ripped from any other device but was a module provided by Ralf via email upon request. Whether or not it should've been provided I dont know. Maybe the request was fulfilled before SonicCore decided that they didnt want to release it (why they would do this I have have no idea so it would be logical to assume that either nobody else requested it, from SonicCore directly, or SonicCore never got round to fulfilling the additional requests).
If you read the original oscilloscope thread I actually gave a cheeky

when Shroomz mentioned what was traded....

You should have guessed that the tigers are hidden in the jungle and the sharcs are hidden under the see

Haha, great pic Huub
Planetz does not tolerate piracy. I have banned several users for discussing it and or promoting warez. I *will* ban any user that is promoting or discussing piracy.
Manu, I do not need your assistance in policing this matter. Creamware/SonicCore/InDSP employees read these forums. If they have an issue with something they see here, they contact me. Next time you have suspicion of any kind of piracy by a planetz member, please contact Creamware/SonicCore/InDSP directly. If they find merit in your suspicions, they can contact me directly. (In the current case, Ralf would have told you that your suspicions had no merit).
I don't want to see your obsessive trolling here about this again. In the planetz registration agreement, you have agreed not to post "defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, hateful, harassing, threatening" messages. Ok? If you can't positively contribute, then either leave, or be banned.
Am I being clear enough?
-John
(edited 12/01/07 with JohnBowen's suggestion to specify SonicCore/InDSP in case anyone doesn't know that Creamware has evolved into those entities)

Hi John,
Just a quick note to remind any new readers - Creamware no longer exits as a company. The assets were taken over by Sonic Core. Another company run by the former head of Creamware (Frank Hund) also shares the technology. That company is called inDSP.

Yes, as all those same few guys involved in this topic.
Who let them write how to open a device ? YOU, J.Cooper, not me.
Respectable people are men who act by themselves, without external help, with a knowledge of what really happens.
Remember history, and just a bit of philosophy because i like truth.
People like me, whose got parents travelling by train as cows, with a nice and yellow star sewn onto their jacket, will never forget what few people have done under pretext they believed in someone.Future has shown us he was the wrong man.
History is history and truth is truth, even when it's hard to believe.
Cheers,
Manuel Betman
Do what you really want J.Cooper and you will win respect

because i don't care about it ,i don't care about you, and i really don't need forums to win money like few guys here.
astroman wrote:
well, I didn't want to participate here, but since the cat's out of bag anyway...
this hacking blurb is complete bullsh*t - there is no hacking involved at all, not even an SDK.
in SFP(!) ....blablabla
EDITED BY MANUEL BETMAN Astroman was explaining, with details how to pirate a device !
....and it may show one or the other 'demo protection module', which is usually a primitive timer/counter plus decision.
Click-Delete-Reconnect and the device doesn't beep or timeout anymore.
You can hardly call that 'hacking' and it isn't even in legal context, not even if the developer had different intentions...
if the device is provided 'as is' then it's the sole responsibility of the developer to have taken any precautions to prevent unintended use, if 'use' is restricted to the system's regular operation, which opening a file unquestionably is.
The 'user' can in no way be assumed to 'think' for another person - that IS a legal matter of fact and I'm absolutely sure to have read sentences with exactly that reasioning.
cheers, Tom
