The feeling "my hand is too small" felt by new guitarist come from the fact that they don't bend the wrist enought. Ideally the base of your fingers should be at the same level than the fretboard (wrist about 90 °).

arf, is this an electric guitar technique thing? my mom always told me to hold the guitar on my left knee and have my left wrist bent the least possible
