Good new and bad news pc the system only works with 2 cards that have no shared IRQ
i'm testing to disable the device on IRQ 22 Intel(R) 82801G (ICH7 Family) Ultra ATA Storage Controllers - 27DF OK
Then all the irq are free used by the 3 pulsar cards
the only thing what seems to be not working is the dvd that's not too bad because i got a usb dvd too.
but i'm still thinking about using the 3.1b drivers do they work with scope 4.0?

I have the same problem with the P4B with an e6600 Core 2 Duo Proccessor.
I have tried everything, installed normally, than downgraded to MPS Multiproccesor PC (NO ACPI APIC)
And i also got some ticks and clicks in my normal wave output (like winamp playback)
So should i try to install STANDARD PC also?
Thnks!

check the irq's conflicts scope cards need unique irq's (disable devices not used in device manager such as firewire internal soundcards wireless ethernetcards) and install windows normally and and after all is intalled (scope ) unintall drivers and then install drivers 3.1b
i hope it works it worked for me

Could it be a problem that windows puts the cards on IRQ 21,22,33?
I think it would be better to have them at low IRQ's (like 3,5,7)
Or is it only important to let them have their own IRQ?

the cards got to have there own irq's the best is shared with nothing
the irq numbers do not matter.
so 21 22 33 is no problem if each cards got its own irq

Are you guys using any STS sampler in your projects?
Because, i have got a kind of the same problem, and it is ony when a STS Sampler is loaded...
When i load 3 sts sampler the pc freezes within a couple of minutes... (only when cubase is running.
When I unload the sts samplers it wil work forever.
The projects with STS where working fine on my good old P4B!

Tom, did you try a project with only 1 sts? I remember a sentence in an earlier manual that only one sts can be used in one project. Perhaps your crashes come from there?
If 3 sts worked in your earlier DAW it would be astonishing.

Normaly I always use just one STS, unless the presets won't fit on the outputs.
But also with one STS the comp will freeze.
But the more STS samplers, the more the freeze chance.
1 STS = +/- > 1h of fun
2 STS = +/- < 1h of fun
3 STS = +/- < 10m of fun
But only on my new P5B / E6600 combination.
On my old P4B 3.2GHz there in no problem with 3 STS samplers.
It's to bad the whole p4b crashed at the end of last year...

well,
i used Asus motherboard (478 chipset) first when i got Luna II, it was working fine, then later i add another Luna II , works fine, and finally i add Pulsar XTC, huh, mobo starts to freeze, no matter what i do...
i'm also Cubase user
so, what i did, was changing mobo to Abit (478 chipset), bang,
no frezees anymore, using now this configuration more than 1 year, no freeze at all, no blue screen, and i'm using heavy projects with full DSP load....
1x Luna II + 2x Pulsar XTC now
but i still have Asus mobo for my other computer where i have Luna II , cause i'm using 2 computer in sync for mixing...
working fine....
i have feeling that some of your older cards causes your problem, and pain with Asus ? maybe , who knows, i had such a problems and solve it with other mobo.....
who knows, just sharing my experiences
hope you'll find your problem...
