well, I disagree that the attribute 'professional' describes anyone, who isn't able to make at least 2 backup copies of his keyfiles on different media and a printout ;)
I really don't understand the fuzz I frequently read here in this 'allkeys-context'...

cheers, Tom
...some times it's not a backup issue, I'm waiting since a month for keys for the new board and plugins I've bought...
In the meanwhile I've transcribed manually the keys I found on the scope manual, but some are missing from there, plus I' don't have those ones for the extra plugins (flexor / sixstring) :(

They could at least set up some sort of service to give automated replies like "We have received your mail... bla... bla..." just to know that your mail has arrived.

I didn't receive any response...

cheers

if you received no response, they didn't get the mail. if you put "registration" in the subject line, you should get a very fast response indeed, usually one day, max a couple of days.

"registration and activation keys problems"

that was the subject of first two mails. This morning I tried with:

"Allkeys needed for new board and plugins"

and high priority. I changed also my mail account to avoid unwanted spam-filtering... maybe something will happen on next monday...

I hope this not to be a sign of something going wrong :-?

how long does it typically take them to get back to you with new keys?

I bought a scope system recently, and I upgraded it to 4.5 over the weekend..
They charged my credit card quickly enough, but they seem to be taking their time getting back to me with keys..

hmm.

Well, I was a little confused about what 'package' I had so maybe they are too, and that is why it is taking so long?

over the weekend? it's usually done by now. an email to rb[at]creamware.de with registration in the heading and a polite explanation what's happened and what package you wanted should help.

any idea which package it should be?
This is the part that was a bit confusing to me..

I picked up a used scope 15 chip board w/ the adat IO, along with a pulsar 2 board..

Is that a scope professional? Or just either a mix n' master or Synth?

i believe you get both packs if you updated the 15dsp board. if you updated the pulsar2, then you must choose a pack.

Alrighty. I updated the scope board, so hopefully they will give me the 'pro' update.
I will send another email. Hopefully they will answer it..

Thanks for your help!

Hmm..
Still nothing from these guys.

Is it always like this when buying plugins and such from creamware?

whom did you email? what was the subject heading?
did you email from a freebie service? if so, you may be getting killed by the spam filter.
do you actually see a debit on your account? double check. it may be that the transaction didn't happen.

Hi Gary.

Yeah, the transaction happened. I double checked it. I even got the email from creamware with the invoice number.

I did not email from a freebie service.
I emailed from my work address (which is a .gov) and my personal address.
I know they have received emails from my .gov address before, as I have had an email from them in the past..

and I emailed rb[at]creamware.de and info[at]creamware.de

I am having communication problems with Creamware too... Just got my Prodyssey ASB, and need to upgrade the DSP system to V2.5.

Sadly I can't register the product via their web site (reg pages down for 3 days...and counting). I emailed both customer support and "Ralph" on Wednesday, but no reply so far...

This is not good - I am a first time Creamware customer and having second thoughts about getting their other ASB units.

If this is how they treat customers, I'm not suprised they are in so much (rumoured) trouble!!

BTW... Why do you need an Authorisation Key for uploading the OS to the ASB??? Surely the update file is totally useless unless you have the hardware??

Please send your hardware serial number via e-mail to "elektropolis (at) web.de" - and I will take care.
