Is there a bios crack out there?
What setting are good for Audio use?
Graphic Adapter Priority? AGP/PCI <-> PCI/AGP
Graphics Aperture Size how big?
Spread Spectrum Enabled/Disabled
ICH Delayed Transaktion Enabled/Disabled
MPS Revision 1.4 or less
PCI Latency Timer 128 or ?
Allocate IRQ to PCI VGA (yes/no)
Palette Snooping En-/Disabled
PCI IDE Busmaster En-/Disabled
ACPI 2.0 Support Yes/No
ACPI APIC support En-/Disabled
BIOS --> AML ACPI table En-/Disabled
Power Management APM En-/Disabled
Well you knows?

Counterpart does your System work in XTC Mode?
To be honest, I have no idea!

I've never been interested in XTC mode at all as you gain nothing but lose all of SFP's flexible routing, its mixers etc. Like many users here, I use Cubase to buss out the audio into SFP, then do the "real work" there. People do seem to have particular problems with XTC mode too.
I also use Cubase for some synths (Battery, Ravity S & Crystal mostly) and my reverb (Anwida DX) as I have not found suitable equivalent devices for Scope.
Are you able to e.g. borrow a friend's video card for a day? It might be worth trying one out to see if it makes any difference.
By the way, do you get crackles when both Cubase and Scope are the top window, or just one of them..?

Hi Royston
Now I got to be honest.
I never tryed the real scope project because I don't want to work with it.
It is too disturbing and takes to much time and is not as comfortable to work on two levels (scope and Cubase).
The last thing is that I don't need the super open architecture that's just confusing for me.
I never saw a Creamware user working as fast as I do on a normal ASIO Mixing-Setup.
Maybe because I would be faster on a scope project as well, hihihi.
No, no more fun.
I have no practice in working with scope but I'M fast in Cubase that's why I want to use XTC Mode and nothing else.
Or you have such a good reason that makes me think of a new workflow.
BTW the new CW support helped me very much they are really nice.
I didn't want to phone them because it is so expensive. Therefore I sent them a email and got immediate response.
Then it became a little Internet conversation and after 4 or 5 emails they call me!!!!!!!! Just cool because I have my CW-Card for over 2 Years.

Oh sorry I forgot to tell you that my brother organizes a "old" Matrox dual head GraCa! We'll see.

oh oh, I'm so ashamed!!!!!
I'm so sorry bothering you nice guys out there so much.
The nice CW Service gave me the right hint and I really feel so silly now.
It was my bad programmed Sample Tank 2 free Plug In that causes the dropouts.
At the time for me it seems so.
I try a little more but I hope this was the ill component.
Sorry that I took so much Energie from you

No worries! Let us know if it solves your problem.
(I still think you should give the scope environment a try

So what you want to say garyb?
What are my bad parts? New Mobo? New Graphic?
I'm in Contakt with the new support service from Creamware (wrote an email) and got an answer!
But I wait for their 2nd answer maybe this helps me out of my problem!
I will post what they tell me here on this forum.
greets
i'm really glad you seem to have it sussed.
what i meant was that the problem was likely some other peice of hardware that had a problem or(as it seemes it was) a corrupt install of software. i was merely assuring you that the cwa stuff DOES work properly without strange strategies. so often the card(or the drivers...) is blamed when the problem is elsewhere...
my prayers that the problem is over.....

Haven't we ever done some statistic on who was using mod1/2/3? Maybe we can do one on who's using XTC - new members seem to all jump on it as if it were their train of redemption.
My guess is that about 5% uses XTC, including the ones that use it for the occasional mastering.

If there is to be a poll make sure there's a 3rd option for those who only make occasional use of XTC but rely on SFP for most of their work (perhaps a 4th option for vice-versa as well, though I doubt as many people rely on XTC but make occasional use of SFP, at least in the long-term).

Hi Atomic I'm not a new CW User I'm using my Card for over 2 years.
I don't think that only 5% using XTC perhaps 20%.
Some just don't need the Monitoring zero latency an so on.
In my workflow I make the sounddesign after recording and for recording I can make a HP Mix from my mixing desk. It's not tape return but I don't need it tape return.
While mixing I got no latency problems.
Why do I need the SFP Mode what can I do more?
BTW I will try it because you all seem to want to convince me that XTC is shit.
I'm not a ignorant jerk so I'm gonna give a try to SFP!
Nice day tweaking the virtual knobs of pleasure.

Didn't mean to offend, but I love the free routing in SFP. I couldn't go without modular. Neither of both are in XTC. And then there's the latency...
Don't know if CW will come up with an easier installation and some hybrid of SFP and XTC mode, but that I think would be much more interesting.

I'd say that the Pulsar mixers are somewhat better than Cubase's too

Hi at0mic,
your idea is my dream.
I hope something like this will come true!
Would anybody working with Cubase SX 3.01 sent me a good SFP Project for starting or do you say I should take the example from CW?
