To sum it up: Forget it. CW is interested not a bit in such things. I tried it for years now. (since Ver. 1.01). They keep on developing new devices (which are good indeed) wich they can sell instead of making sfp a bulletproof thing.
I know this is no consolation to those who have been living with annoyances since day one but aside from this Optimaster bug, I'm pretty happy overall. I haven't had an SFP crash or anything (not related to Optimaster) in so long I can't remember the last time. Of course, I'm not the power user like some of you are. I'm sure there are combinations of things that are causing you grief every now and then. It's not so much "what to do" but "what not to do".

If I thought they would actually address this particular problem at any point in my lifetime, I'd be a happy camper. As it is, I'm not really optimistic about optimaster

This device has been around for a couple of years now. There hasn't been a serious upgrade to SFP in about the same amount of time. And it doesn't appear that there will be anything soon.
I've already started looking at alternatives. The DADEV mastering compressor sounds great. Started using it recently. I know there are other devices out there. What do you all recommend?
If someone could release a better Optimaster mousetrap (with a wizard function), that doesn't crash, I'd buy it in a heartbeat (hint hint)
