Hey, this is very nice indeed. No real criticism to give here. I'm a bit tired of this kind of vocals in trance but it's still reasonbly well done and doesn't get too cheesy

what did u use for compressing the final mix? It does sound maybe slightly too much but as you say it is normal in this kind of music to compress pretty hard.

As a matter a fact I dont like too much compression cause you lose on a dynamics of a track.

Excellent!
The mix is superb on my rig. Lots of warmth more than darkness. Not too cluttered and superb use of sounds. It's great to hear so few instruments/tracks creating such a full mood.
Vocals are great too and I love the tricks/effects that you applied to the vocal track. I must say that the mood and production of the vocal track reminded me of some of Thalamus's trip hop work.
The breakdown in the middle works well too.
More like this please

Thanks for the kind words all,

I truely appreciate it, as for the final mixing chain, if I recall, I think it was a combination of something like:

- TC Assimilator
- UAD Pultec (no settings just a pass through)
- CW Optimaster
- UAD Precision Limiter

Assimilator took care of most of the curve which was nice, then just for color I run everything through the pultec with little or no settings, then beef the track up with optimaster since optimaster is uber for making anything sound very loud, and then using the precision limiter to cut things back a little and add a little more UAD style color since I think there plugs offer a great sound.

I cant remember exactly but that was the jist of it all, I do alot of EQ work in the tracks where it needs it, I just wanted the track to kick hard and drive fast, over use of compression unfortunately is part of the ganre these days, blame tiesto if you want lol.

As for the vocal edits in the intro, with out jepordizing national security and all, ill say that was just some time and effort with a combination of granular synthesis and bit crushing.

My favorite part of the whole track was the generous helping of real Roland SH-101 bass running through the Vinco

Thanks again all!

Superb! Simple superb!

Very nice production, sound, BALANCE is great. Her voice is very softening too, and warm.

I too think there is a slight bettering you could perform in the EQ side, but you know what? It doesn’t matter… everything sounds already too well, sometimes trying to get something which is almost perfect better, it just ruins it. I would probably let it as is.

All this is being said by somebody who does not like this kind of music, well, who didn’t because this is great!
