1. the have to the sortments after the Musikmesse (the work after the Messe)
2. Creamware tries to post in the planetz forum ASAP. ATM they don't have the time to do that because they are still under heavy work for their new product line.
3. The new homepage will be actualized ASAP to inform the atm somelike disoriented users. They apoligized the only rudimentary Information and will fix it.
to MODIII and STS4000 as far as i understood these plugz will also only be availabe with the package including a new card. But in this case i could be wrong... so keep up the heads. We can still be very happy due one of the best audiocardproducers are still alive and survived the insolvency.
BTW the difference between sts3000 and sts4000 are not that much... a step to the sts5000 would be great... but reality recaptured us.
until then...

perhaps misinformation?
actually i got the infos i posted directly from CW...
... and its not a question of want or dont want... its more a question of affordable and not affordable...

edit:
Just as a comparison:
think about the newest cars... airbags like hell, climate control, asp, servo, esp, asr... what the heck is in them in technology...
But have ever a Carproducer gave these features and techniques to their older already bought cars for free? i cannot remind such a case..
;);)

sure... also the whole synth and mixer pack are integrated within the 4.0... but without activation key?!? mmh u cannot use it...
just for example.. i bought MOD3 and got the activation key as email.. i had to DL the rest from their site... in 3.1C the whole synth and mixer pack is also included... just look at the .dev files... but no activation key... no soft. a hard and consequent copy protection to bound the soft to the hardware only unlockable with a hardware key depending activation key.
Perhaps... just perhaps we'll get the STS4000 for free... also the MODII (well almost all the pulsar card have the MOD2 already activated)...

I doubt if anyone deliberately tried to 'spread a rumour', some people read more facts into some (generously provided) information than there actually were.On 2004-04-05 16:05, Jan Nolte wrote:
It's okay, if CW don't want to give the old users free packages, but why does someone spread this rumor although it's not true? That sucks.

i too agree with Ken and at0m. (even tho a bit late i noticed..)
regarding 4.0 being a "fake" upgrade...
how would it sound if a new company, which CWA actually is, should announce their sales argument software package as:
"THE BRAND NEW SFP 3.1d!!"
that would sound quite lame..

lets just hope it's a decent release and not a major marketing con. Fingers crossed that CWA have done it right, with bug fixes and optimizations.
One thing that i wanted fixed was that stupid message when you exit sfp - asking you to save your project....there should be an option to toggle that bitch off. Also automatic global optimization for "loaded" projects.
peace.

Many people expressed their feelings about how confusing Creamware's product lines were, not just here but on the maillists and the official forums as well. Having just reorganized/resumed operations Creamware has responded, I'm assuming to improve sales (compared to a confusing varied modular product line). Good for Creamware and I hope it does help sales. Remember that it actually costs Creamware MONEY to go through the effort of changing all their products (packaging, documentation, software & hardware graphics, etc) AND to provide the software to you as a free download. Perhaps there will some bugfixes (Mod III hint hint), perhaps not. Either way it is at great cost to Creamware and little cost to you outside of time.
Oh, and for those among us with little time to 'test' updates which may not be that major, if you are reticent about downloading something that may or may not fix bugs which you currently experience (this is assuming you DO experience them, outside of Mod III most of my major issues were addressed years ago) then I might suggest doing the reasonable thing, and waiting to hear the impressions from the more adventurous among us (or those with more spare time).
Nuf runon sentences eh? Btw the suggestion for a feature to solve the 'Would you like to save' dialog is a good one. I often load default projects and then simply exit via the tasktray icon, and it takes a bit for the interface to come up and prompt me just so I can hit no. Having some way to disable that and enable an 'autosave on exit' (or not as well) would be nice and probably not terribly difficult. Of course I'll probably close an essential project without saving accidentally at that point....

thats right valis... u found good words to this discussion...
probably these fixes are already in the SP4.0 and some other minor enhancements. We'll see when we get it. Speculations will not help us out but growing up rumors and hopes which are not fulfilled at the end.
A suggestion i would make to Creamware as a little thank you for supporting and keeping up the Creamware stuff for years is to give out a highpriced plugin the user can choose cheaper for the existing users. Just a thought and suggestion.
We'll see what the future brings us...

Sorry but that is the kind of reaction that really gets my goat. Does your card function? Do you know all its ins and outs? Are you making music at all? If you answer "yes" to all these questions stop the whining and get back to making music. You STILL have one of the most complete packages you'd find in any card.On 2004-04-06 18:36, MOFO wrote:
