Are you sure, it behaves like a 6dB low pass filter ? I noticed that results (waveform and sound) are quite different ...

Just try on a squarewave, result is completly different ....

well i just looked at it in the spectrum analyzer and it looks like it's -3db per octave.

i also took a look at "DSP Filters" from Prompt Publications to compare the structure i decribed to what they said was a -6db filter. the filter i described is basicaly the back half of a -6db lowpass filter.

You are right, it is very similar to a 6dB filter.

So a slew limiter is just a 3db or 6db filter, well I discovered their properties on sound, they are interesting ...

What spectrum analyser are you using ?
