I have no doubt that there are a lot of forces that manipulate our media and culture without informing us. But whether this particular website is illuminating in that regard is another thing. What in your opinion constitutes a reliable (objectiveOn 2005-04-09 18:27, Casper wrote:

well, only because alex jones backs up his assertations with mainstream references, indexed on his site. he is a well known(if slighly kooky) journalist. his sites may not tell the whole story, but they are definitely PART of the whole story.....i'll bet you didn't bother to watch the movie on the link i posted. there is a preponderence of evidence showing official complicity, even to the point that the taliban and hamas and other "terrorist" organizations recieve american training and funding. there are plenty of photos of rumsfeld shaking sadaam's hand the day that hundreds of barrels of biological agents were being unloaded at the baghdad airport(rumsfeld sez he "didn't recall the event exactly"). even bin laden was a u.s. military contractor who built the tora bora cave facilities with u.s. money...On 2005-04-09 19:05, Liquid Len wrote:I have no doubt that there are a lot of forces that manipulate our media and culture without informing us. Fair enough. I asked because I figured I could maybe learn something, or at least have something to think about, by whatever answers I got.On 2005-04-09 22:40, garyb wrote:

Not big on movies over the Net, the computer I browse with doesn't have its soundcard permanently hooked up. (I don't browse on my music computer at all, it's a PITA to clean up the spyware etc) I don't mind reading news stories anyways. As for the official complicity stuff, I agree, it's how the world is run. It's hard to know whose version to trust a lot of time. And I don't necessarily think there's just one set of people controlling everything, but a number of powerful people who are trying to out-manipulate each other. Were the crowd that helped put and keep the Taliban in place the exact same people that profitted from the war in Iraq?definitely PART of the whole story.....i'll bet you didn't bother to watch the movie on the link i posted. there is a preponderence of evidence showing official complicity,

Haha, anti-american. That term is as good an example of brainwashing as you can get. If you were opposed to Hitler, you were branded anti-german. If you were opposed to Stalin, you were anti-soviet. I'm astounded and saddened to see such language used today, don't people realize what they're saying? If someone is opposed to Berlusconi, does it mean they are anti-Italian and have some deep rooted hatred of Italians and desire to thwart them in every turn? The real 'antiamericans' are the ones who use this term to bully and shout down people who contradict them. Please do not think we are anti American!
We just see something happening that should not be happening. We try to warn others because the media isn't. Don't hate America, but love and care for it's future!
Oh, there was no point, just me rambling. I agree with a lot of what is said on the thread, much of what you say about what really drives world events is in my opinion closer to the truth than the official version of things. On 2005-04-10 09:18, Casper wrote:
Well, I'll just drop the "anti" w.e. point.
I think you were right on that.
But I'm missing your point on the though parts of what is beeing pointed out here.
In the mean while , I will be smoking this big fat joint!![]()
