Regarding the Xite range.
Checking Thomann website this afternoon give us some hints about what street price would be:
Xite-1 is now offered once again for the same price as before: 2899 €
Xite-1D is on offer for a price of 1769 €
So the Xite-1D would offer 40% of the Xite-1 DSP power for 60% of the price.
In term of pure DSP power comparison (forgetting the 6 "old" DSP):
=> the Xite-1 provide the DSP power of 3 UAD2 quad which would cost 4332 € !!!
=> the Xite-1D provide the DSP power of 3 UAD2 quad which would cost 1444 € !!!
The figures are clearly in favour of the Xite-1, whereas looking at the Xite-1D, you should take into account the integrated I/O which would cost of for example the Yamaha GO44 (225 €) while style missing the ADAT I/O and Z-Link.
So the Xite-1D is all in all rightly placed in the competition ...

Also available by MusicStore:
Xite-1: 2 999 €
Xite-1D: 1 799 €
so it looks like the Xite-1 street price is the same and the Xite-1D is significantly lower than the 2 000 €

I just bought for Scope v.5.1 upgrade from v5.0.
I sent the email to the register address of Soniccore for requesting the keyfiles
(and will wait for them as usual done in past).
So Is all I need to do?
My doubt is this:
because I didn't installed Windows 7 64bit yet,
after I got the v5.1 keyfiles will be enough to install directly Scope 5.1 on it?
Or will I need to install Scope 5.0 with its keyfiles before to authorize and make 5.1 work?
I noticed that on the new SonicCore website I had to reregister my account again,
so perhaps old account datas went lost.
Thanks in advance, if someone can answer me.
All the best.

Andrea

Scope 5.1 can be installed directly, you don't need 5.0 installed first. In fact if you do have 5.0 installed I would just copy that somewhere (just in case you have lets say edited some preset files or added any third party files that you later want to copy back) and then uninstall it and then install 5.1.

OK, after some thinking about it, I finally decided to upgrade one of my "old" Luna Card to Scope 5.1 (to get both M'n'M and S'n'S bundle) and get the Mod IV to setup a scope modular dedicated machine ... here we go...
Merry Christmas you all

they should have invest much more on xtc.
GOOD STABLE XTC IS THE WAY....
maybe the ideal would have been to be able to combine simultaneusly xtc and sfp modes.
sfp mode is a virtual reality of hardware.......not real hardware and not real pro.
xtc is pro.
i wouldn't like not to be understood....... by saying sfp is not real pro.... yea real pro can be even a good 2 channel recording with a tape recording. depends on project and style of art.....
anyway.... some will agree, some not.
depends also on what other hardware we use
anyway...xtc mode is the fastest way to communicate with the sequencer. that is pro for me.

for classical music-
THE ROOM, player, instrument, mic, cable, mic pre and recorder are all that matters.
for REAL studio work, Scope mode is preferable as it allows proper integration of the rest of the studio.
for computer music, the sequencer is all.
etc.
nobody's wrong. it all depends on one's budget and workflow. being successful with the musical projects is the goal.

Maybe it has a built in bridging scheme that the more elaborate DAW's don't have, I am not sure.
But I know a few folks who love it.
Personally for my needs I like using Standalone now since the ULLI can function as well as hardware.
64 Samples at 96k or 44.1k, with .07 msec. or 1.5msec.

Hell, didn´t know that. Spent 15 eur on Jbridge for use it with Reaper
I think I´m unsubscribed from this thread by mistake.

XITE1-D on thomann is 1666,- Euro now
http://www.thomann.de/nl/sonic_core_xite_1_d.htm
That's a pretty attractive price if you ask me. For that price I'll definitely consider upgrading my 3 PCI cards (Pular 1, Pulsar 2 and Powersampler) to a XITE1-D at some point this year...

Seems to be dropping, now it's 1644 Euro.
That includes VAT, which should go away for US customers. Or check out Novamusik, they seem to have some on order.

price will differ according to where you live (wow 25% VAT in Sweden? And I though 19% was bad

).
The 1666,- figure is from the Dutch Thomann site, so that's with 19% VAT.
