Would changing the software make a difference? I mean if the audio quality is dependent on how many users there are being streamed to i.e. bandwidth then a change of interface isn't gonna help.

I don't think the audio quality is related to the bandwidth. this site is optimized to reach 50 users.
its
1) my bandwidth (which got slightly better today and will get better next week, im still in battles with my isp)
2) my sound card (i think this is where the crackles came from
3) dimdim/elluminate/vyew 's stability
4) your connection.
This time im going to open the class 20 mins before i go online to test the audio (ill stream some nice idm ) so you can all have nice audio quality.
Im thinking of giving dimdim another shot mainly because of the audio quality (yes we have improved audio quality for this lesson!)
if we will get some problems i will quickly divert the location of the lesson to one of the other sites. its simple as just changing the browser
dimdim has the best audio quality of the three, and frankly we did have a few hiccups in the lesson.
vyew's has a REALY nice lesson workflow - but i tested it again yesterday and it crawled. I'm thinking of giving this a shot if they fix their audio quality.
elluminate is a bit more difficult to use - and has less features than both dimdim and vyews but many pros still use it we can maybe check it out.
BTW
i finally found the login errors on the site and fixed those.

Who in the class is using Reaper ??
I just got it to do multichannel VSTi outs and think I want to try and brave the VSTIM.XTC thing.
I was using an ancient hardware sampler and it just is a PITA with Scope to program.
Playback is 100% rock solid, but it's time I try the Scope XTC thing...

I couldn't get it to run in Reaper. Maybe someone else did.
Still haven't had time to switch over to VSTim mode in Samplitude yet either.

I have no experience with Reaper - I use Live 8 and normal Scope mode and it works fine for me - I don't understand the VST mode at all

Don't worry Boss......
I have figured out how to use Reaper as the host, w/ Bidule as a 32 Channel ReWire VSTi.
I can use Assaf's great VST and re record MIDI as an overdub.
I am so familiar with MIDI CC Automations in Scope using LFOtoMIDI Modular Patches and SpaceF's CC devices I won't need VSTIM/XTC mode.
Just need to have the Drums & Bass quantized. Then Curve drawn MIDI controls, etc.

thank you thank you! Its loads of fun limiting myself to modular patches
I decided to become an internet musician (finally). Baby steps, I put my modular course work online at the soundcloud! very cool site

Maybe all the modular slaves should create an account, or perhaps a shared one could be created for courses. eitherway I am sticking mine here:

I get inspired by others work so please do upload your stuff somewhere!!!

the forum of synthschool is ready, so its possible to upload files there also.
im now searching for some decent user management system for joomla so i can grant authoring permissions to the students in the course.
i also found an excellent way to get my english much more polished for next lesson, just wait and see... next lesson will be extra fun!
also, since dimdim was going well last lesson, i have purchased the pro account

version 4 of dimdim is coming within a month or two

so this is a great time to collect some requests.
regarding microphone spots for all of the class, please read the synthschool forum for technicalities.
the mildly edited video will be uploaded this weekend to the site, along with all of the material of the last two lessons.

Good idea FH.
Quote from Mr Eno seems apt 'Every collaboration helps you grow.'

Have you checked community builder Red? It's a feature rich open source component.
