I'm finally understanding what is meant by "creative juices"...and "letting them flow".

This thread is now the all-time number three ranking post on Planet Z.

Not bad for a topic which says absolutely nothing about what everyone comes here to find out.

Hello!

Today I had my hearing as a former employee against CreamWare. The lawyer
who represented CreamWare before court today told the judge the following:

"Most probably CreamWare will be closed by January 31, 2004. We are
currently doing a sellout of the products. All employees have already been
dismissed."

So I really can't share the positive vibes of this thread. I rather suppose
that the declaration that CreamWare will carry on is a false assertion.

Greetings,

bennylevar

Since when do you believe what a lawyer might say? The judge doesn't know squat apart from what he hears in court and reads on the transcripts.

Fuck it! If Creamware goes down, I'm with braincell and I declare LONG LIFE TO THE Z! It's the best place for our support needs anyways.

I'm not believing anything until we hear some official news. Rumors are very often false.

noone here is specially interested in the company 'CW' - it's about the future of SFP and the continued developement of that DSP stuff.
And that doesn't look bad at all (imho)...

One usually doesn't talk about these things, but CW is a 'limited' corporation - and one way to get rid of depts under such circumstances is closedown and come back in a different shape.
Since you mentioned your own position as 'against' from the laws perspective this might be an unpleasant episode for you...

cheers, Tom

Nothing to add, Valis?

I'd like to add that I'm really convinced that Creamware stumbled into this by unfortunate conditions - I have no doubt that they worked on a serious attitude over all those years.

But that business practice is fairly common here in Germany and even with laws intended to prevent fraudual abuse it's pretty easy to circumvent it with the appropriate lawyers on your side.

For the banks you're normally considered a 3rd class customer with only the 'limited' capital, but if you manage to keep your main financial sources out of trouble it's no big deal to come back soon - it's all legal stuff.
It can be very unpleasant for others, though - every story has 2 sides.

cheers, Tom

I must say that I find bennylevar post most interesting. The first person here exept John that seem to have any first hand info of the situation (giving he's telling the truth)! What he is describing there is really an bankrupcy where claims obvisiously are bigger than the company can stand under, including staff payments! Maby I'm to romantic but I never see that as a funny thing - especially for the former staff! It is true however that the future of CW is not the real problem for us but the future of the SFP, and it's (hopefully) further development. In my opinion the SFP is so great that it will not lie down for a long period until someone else buys it, should current owners fail to raise it again.
Anyhow I think I will download my keys and plugins tonight just for security reasons of course, and then think some sexy thoughts about CW!!

... but ... but.. but....

C'mon guys!.. are you serious about this???..

Is it possible such a innovative company, with such specialized people there, with shuch an incredible product go out of bussines??...

Of course we are concerned about SFP future.., but I think we owe CW and its people big time for all that good job. At least we should show a little concern about them.

I would be EXTREMELY SAD to see this happening, and I can't beleive no one informs anything but rumors.

I understand John not confirming or denying, (it drives me crazy though ) , but I know he has to keep his word on this, and I respect that.

If we could only know SOMETHING...sniff sniff.

Sorry people. It came out from the heart.

Is this thread still going?
It's like a 24-hour hospital vigil. Waiting for Dr Frank's prognosis. The patient's been in a coma for 10 days. Or more...

Everyone light a candle.

According to bennylevar post there is no staff anymore at CW so no wonder the webpage has not been updated!
