Actually and after I moved to my old hometown, now being up against much younger neighbors, my impression is,-
ALL are controlled by EDM, 4-on-the-floor and german bass !
They come w/ their car in the evening ... "boom, boom, boom, boom" ... they go in the morning,- the same.
They have holidays,- "boom, boom, boom, boom" the day over and in the nite at earthshaking levels,- and I have to stand it in my yard or w/ open windows in the house.
And WHAT a stupid and shitty "music" it is !
The most stupid and monotone BS.
But they are "experts" in synths,- especially "analog" ones.
They don´t own any, but read a lot in the web,- and they (some of) are local DJs and have some "success".
So, when that is today´s culture in the sense of "music",- it will change nothing to any positive because
IT IS the already ultimate goofiness I hoped for it will never come until I die.
Just saying,- and I dunno where the connection to "Brexit" (thread topic) is.
But there´s some methamorphosis in this thread anyway.

Now it depends on what "our own purposes" are,- but I doubt any single artist will change that ´cause what comes from the majority of "artists" today is exactly what I described above,-
dictatorship of dumb electronic crap.
What started as kind of democratization of music production w/ the target to disestablish major companies and "pop stars",- and replace ´em by DJs, partially worked.
The DJs now ARE the pop stars since somewhere 90s,- which was the real intention anyway ...
And we have lots of small indie companies "releasing" music ...
But most majors still exist,- they just only changed their buisiness model after relaeasing thousands of employees.
So far so good,-
But I don´t see any democratisation in music production, especially not in "electronic music".
In fact it all behaves the same than before when it´s about money.
According to the icons,- Klaus Schulze is still a major star in that genre and when Edgar Froese would be still alive, he´d be the other one ...
So, to come back to topic here, - "Brexit" is probably somewhat not worth to discuss.
Whoever wants to go out of the EU is free doing it subject to existing contracts.
Life goes on and I don´t fear suffering from Brexit at all.
Maybe stock jobbers think different ...
In fact I wished there were a "Grexit" before,- but it didn´t happen unfortunately.
Germany, since the EU existed, always payed the highest contribution and we are tired of that !
I´m pretty sure most germans want the "Deutsche Mark" back,- we simply were able to buy
MUCH more for it and compared to the EURO.
In fact, the launch of the EUR was a steal.
It devided all assets by 2 and there was no compensation,- just math.
A currency reform,- which means socialisation for any loss, but no shares on winnings.
It´s ALWAYS the same,- in politics, music industry and any other industry and there will be no changes as long as this forum exists and much longer.
The "wall", at least for me, was also o.k. ...
I grew up w/ it and any reunion of germnany was not necessary for me.
I lived much better in a smaller country.
So, now you guys might think "what about that rant" ...
There´s no rant,- it´s all about we already thought about globalization in the 70s and some of you are not aware of it because born later ...
We didn´t want globalization the way we have it now,- period.
It´s cool we have the communication, only available via internet and skype and such ...
Different story because the damn internet was developed for military purposes and now everyone wonders about secret services activity and so on ...
But do we really need what the stock jobbers want and call "markets" ?
I think,- NO !
Means, we also don´t want TTIP and such.
I dunno who will win US votes, maybe Trump will and when that happens it will be the result of people being tired of globalization.
Maybe Clinton makes it,- but that will be some copy of Angie Merkel,- and Merkel is the last in line shit ´cause she doesn´t take on responsibility for what she´s doing.
She´s from the school of Helmut Kohl and everyone who knew him really good, knows what that means.
Merkel is the running sore of germany which we urgently need to get rid of.
She herself is the copy of Maragret Thatcher at a differnet time.
When we get rid of Merkel soon, we have good chances to reform "europe" to somewhat more realistic area.
AFAIK,- there is NO country in "europe" really interested to keep "europe" alive.
It (unfortunately) doesn´t work.
The main interest is to get as much money as possible in a given period of time from putative financially most potential country,- and that´s what they call "germany".
Next year, it´s over,- I´m sure ...
In 2017 we vote,- and when major parties won´t make significantal changes,- you´ll see what happens.
When we would have votes today,- Merkel would get about 22%.
AFD,- the populists,- are on par meanwhile.
Anyway,-have fun w/ SCOPE ...
