I don't have you on mute because I am not as small and petty as you are. Sticks and stones my friend; but then again some people are just emotionally fragile I guess.

Question
If you have a dual boot os can you have sfp v5.0 on one os and sfp v4.5 on the other os
without having to roll back the drivers everytime?
I think this would be the only way to have both versions on one DAW hastle free maybe?
Didn't get my keys yet but patiently waiting

Yes! I really don't see any technical limitation in your example. Just make sure you install them in different folder and use old driver for Scope 4.5 and new one for v5

Same error!
"Cannot start the SCOPE application! (error code 0001)"
but I get some other error messages too at system startup. is perhaps sfp4.x still auto starting and locking access to the cards?

okay, I could solve the problem with the error messages by removing the sfp.exe startup entry from the registries. but error code 0001 remains

Are these problems on boxes without SFP4.5 - i.e. fresh install windows?
Could it be due to the MS libraries it installed?
Damn... I'll test once i get my keys.... Hopefully it will work.

My machine hasn't had v4 installed, so once I get my keys I'll be able to rule that out.

So keys started to fly..nice...
Anyway i think it is something with your driver. When you installed did you get something like this:
I don't know is it a bug yet, i should confirm somehow when i get some time but on my system without previous driver (of v4.5) Scope5 setup DID NOT UPDATE driver automatically. I did it manual.
Later i found that drivers WILL BE UPDATED automatically by Scope5 setup (like in screenshot above) ONLY if there are installed v4.5 drivers in your system. If not, manual install will do the trick! Drivers can be found in Scope 5 folder...
At least that was the case in my system...
So try to update drivers manually with ones in Scope 5 folder (named: Driver\Windows XP & Vista 32bit\ ) but CLEAN install is probably best shot...

I am afraid it is not an ordinary driver problem. I uninstalled the drivers, reinstalled SCOPE PCI and then manually reinstalled the new drivers explicitly from the driver folder but error code 0001 still remains
