Well for cryin' out loud!

You would be feeling all tooled up, Shroomzo :D

I'm happy for ya - with Noah you got a nice school of sharcs together :)

I'll need to do a re-test Wayne, because I can't believe that it's working properly. With those results I'll need to pop the board back out & see if it's 14 x 200 mHz sharcs on it

Astonishing picture of that many loaded - keep us posted with what else you can load!

Maybe the dsp management's not working properly, but there was no image doctoring in PS I swear!!

funny picture, indeed :D
you may have noticed at your earlier test that once you drive the system over the top it will completely unload everything - the DSP meter drops close to zero and the system remains like this until you reset it (by switching samplerate or master/slave).
During the coma state you probably can load whatever you like, but to the surface only - the DSPs don't get activated ;)
looks like you impressed it so much that it forgot about the err message :o

cheers, Tom
wish it would be different, tho :D

You're right Astro :D

The actual result after reviving it from the coma was only 15 MV's

On the other hand, it loads a 12 voice Pro-12, 12 voice Minimax & STM4896 with plenty dsps spare. I'll keep testing :D

I think I better edit the post on the previous page

!2 voice polyphony on Pro-12, and 12 on Minimax. That's what I'm talkin' 'bout !!
Brotha' Man Shroomz, do you have Solaris? If you do I have an idea that shall span the continents.

Masterverb Test - Intel DG965RY, Core2Duo, Nvidia

Motherboard: Intel DG965RY, 2GB RAM
CPU: Core 2 Duo E6600 @ 2400 Mhz
Video: Nvidia GeForce 7600 GT
Creamware: Scope SRB 15 DSP Expansion Card + Original Pulsar (4 DSP) + Pulsar XTC (6 DSP) w/ I/O Expansion Card
Case: Antec Sonata II
Hard Drive: Western Digital WD5000KS - SATA 500GB
CD Drive: Plextor PX-750A - CD-RW/DVD-RW
Video Monitor: 2 Viewsonic VA912b - 19"

15 masterverb pro with DSP capacity reached on 16. DSP meter shows about 66% at overload.

Pulsar 2 classic + Pulsar 2 XTC = 12 DSP
.. running on 1 STDM-cable.

I get DSP capacity limit on loading the 17th M.verb, which is what you expecet when reading of the DSP meter.
Ok, an update. I can load 17 Masterverbs on this system in 44.1KHz now, lowest ULLI.

The DSP meter is actually peaking, showing last LED as red. The 18th Materverb thus gives me a "DSP limit reached" error.

I did a lot of cleaning up. Also set highest PCI setting for both cards in DoubleDawg.
I also re-set the STDM cable, hooking the cards up with socket 1 and 3.

Finally I've changed my system! :-)
the new hardware is

Motherboard: Asrock eSata II
CPU: Intel (core duo 2) E6300 @ 1.8 GHz
Ram 1 Gb Kingstone
Graphic Card: Asus (chipset ati) EAX1600pro
Pulsar1 + Pulsar2 + Soundlaster Live Value

The system is fast (graphic and loading projects) and stable (resolved the occasional clicks and glitches)

With 14 Masterverb I reach the DSP overload message (not the PCI overflow)

Upgraded my system with a Scope Pro. I now have 27 DSP :P.

I finally get PCI limit at 19th Msterverb instance.

I can also load 5 STW P100 vers without problems.

Also the system feels faster somewhat running of the Scope hardware.

I have a new record for the old Pulsar One :D
6 active MVs in a basic project with just a few IOs and a mixer
mobo is the Asus TUSL-2c with a 1.2G Tualatin under a fresh installed Win2K pro (in Standard PC mode).
The (active) dual head of the Matrox G550 didn't interfere, no other tweaks.

cheers, Tom

thanks Roman and Stardust :D
... but I will retain the full story of the Pulsar Win2K installation - it started as bad as it can get, let alone the intro chapter aka Pulsar in a mini ITX 1 unit 19" box
... the Pulsar is 10mm too long for the EMKO 19" box, what a nice surprise after they needed 4 weeks to get it right with the riser etc. Brute force did bend the czech metal though, only to find out the thingy definetely refused whatever attempt to get rid of a -40db noise floor, nailing into the monitors even with the Pulsar disconnected. I could hear the mouse movements from the mini-itx screen even when the amp was connected to the s/pdif out of the other PC :o ... but then the onboard audio was perfect ???

'...people should know when they're conquered... would you, Q - would I ?...'
so I wanted the TUSL even better than it was before :P
It now has a USB2 card, a passive Geforce 6200 with a 1280x1024 (17") plus a 1680x1050 wide screen.
The latter and the classic Cherry keyboard and LogiTec mouse are distributed via a KVM box between a P4, a MacMini and the Tualatin/3-Pulsar team :D

btw I had 5 masterverbs active and copied a large file over the USB card - no noticable glitches, which really surprised me.

cheers, Tom
